    NYC Team List
Wests Tigers Holden Cup Coach Chris Hutchison has named his squad to take on the St. George-Illawarra Dragons this Saturday, June 3 for their Round 13 clash.

Kickoff for the match is at 12:40pm AEST from ANZ Stadium, Sydney.

After a last-start upset win over the Brisbane Broncos prior to the Round 12 bye, Hutchison has named a strong squad this week, welcoming back a number of key injured players for Friday’s game including Connelly Lemuelu, Tony Tali, Thomas Mikaele and Jai Doolan.

18-year-old Gus Garzaniti retains his spot at halfback after steering the side to a win on debut last weekend, with Josh Bermingham once again partnering him in the halves.

  • good to see Tali back and Lemuelu at fullback

Toa Mataafa is going to be busy after being named in nsw cup too

  • Hopefully the boys can give the Dragons a run for their money. It would be nice to see them get one back on them.

I think that should say the Cubs are no hope and will get trampled by the Dragons…

  • Seyfarth injured again i’m guessing? 😕

Good to see Lemuelu names at fullback and hopefully he gets his hands on the ball more. He may even be our long term fullback. Seems like a younger and bigger version of Lolohea. Quite versatile.

Is it possible he will play in the NSW U18 team and has been pulled for this reason? Max Burey played a game at half but he and three others from Holy Cross have been named in the NSWCCC team for the Schoolboy Championships.

  • The game is being shown on foxsports 12:30pm

  • Jeez this side is bad. Don’t see many future first graders amongst this lot

  • We’re winning the second half!.

  • Didn’t expect the boys to get close against the Dragons today.

  • Great tackle PAKOTI… Absolutely folded the dragons #12 in half… Awesome

  • Banned

Pathetic. Even for u/20’s standard that was embarrassing football.

  • really who ever recruited that bunch of c- grade players needs to be sacked and never allowed near a NRL club ever again. they were disgraceful.

  • The first half defence was absolutely lamentable.

  • The first half was atrocious. Although bare in mind the backline has gone through major reshuffles every single week of the comp pretty much. No stablity, no understandings between players.

But still generally speaking there’s far too many players who are too small, not powerful enough and too slow.

That side was still missing about 6-7 starting players, and they threw a scrawny 10 year old half back in there too.

Lemuelu and Mikaele are still head and shoulders the only 2 prospects we have in this side that look capable of stepping up. No other player from this game would be capable of even playing nsw cup anytime in the forseeable future.
