Do we need a wing coach?
This is in response to the idea of a halves coach. The idea of getting a position coach is to get the most out of the position. So a halves coach would turn our halves from average/poor (Brooks) into better and help them gell together. The idea is to get the halves steering the team right and getting good ball to wingers/centers/anyone to get them across the line.
So why not a winger coach. Get someone who trains the wingers to either get across the line or get good ball to their centers/backs. Also to work on end defense.
I am thinking Pat Richards.
Why? because he was a winger who could get great ball inside and get over the line OR get his center over the line. He was almost going to be picked for Origin. If he could impart his skills on the next wingers coming through then you can have your conventional attack through Brooks/Reynolds passing it outside and then have your unconventional attack through Nofo and Founa passing it in. I.e. we develop an alternative plan when the conventional route does not work.
