Nah seems right to me. A lot less hit ups from Alex tonight. A big portion of his stint on the field was when Manly was dominating, makes a difference to the numbers.

    7. Brooks - 92 metres in attack, 1 line break, 1 try assist, 13 tackles, 3 missed tackles

    Impressive

  • We had two backrowers playing 80 tonight and Matty E playing 64. Im not sure that balance is right.

The missed tackles from MCK and Taylor probably had a lot to do with fatigue.

  • MCK really stood out for me today

  • Also happy with the performance of the much maligned MCK today.

Brooks played well but still needs to learn to take control of the game.

    Perrett’s try was embarrassing.

  • And Jesse Sue with the stint of his life

MCK and ET rush in and try to stop plays early but do enough to slow people down for other players to finish off. I suspect this impacts their missed tackle count.
I don’t see many one in one clean misses that lead to points from these two.

In a good or bad way?
Personally i would have had him hooked at half time. Has a very long way to go.

  • Another good stat, Lola 5/5 conversions.

  • MCK is my new favourite player. He wasn’t extremely damaging but he worked off Brooks all night and made a number of tough hit-ups.

  • Someone will correct me if I’m wrong but in all the games Alex Twal has played for us I think he has only 1 missed tackle so far.
