  • Those results look ordinary

  • Up against two very strong junior teams.

  • Good win in the TG cup though.

Up against two very strong junior teams.

We should have strong junior teams. Not like there is a shortage of league player in the south west.

True but it’s been some time since they did anything. Every time I speak to someone from out that way I get told it’s run by muppets. Apparently they lose some good ones to the Dogs.

  • 2. Alosomu Lolohea, any relation to Tui

  • Not a good day for the youngsters.

Wests juniors haven’t been particularly strong for some time now and Balmain still relies on a smaller nursery of players. Penrith and Illawarra on the other hand consistently produce strong junior teams so it was always going to be an uphill battle for the boys.

  • Some context in regards to the Magpies HM side. Second youngest in the competition. Three imports so will take time to work as a team.

  • Tough draw to face the strongest teams straight up, before they’ve had a chance to gel etc. Hopefully results improve.

  • The NRL needs to show some urgent leadership or the Macarthur area will be lost to Rugby League.
1 They should push the State Government for an upgrade of Campbelltown Stadium
2 They should insist on the WESTS Tigers playing a minimum of 8 games per season at Campbelltown
3 Then we will see more locals children playing junior league (remember this is the junior area that produced Jarrod Hayne, Israel Folau, Ryan Hoffman, Teddy, Lawro, Jason Taylor, etc.)
    PS
Why did the NRL allow Tedesco (our best junior in many a year) to leave the club to join the latte sipping Roosters? This is a disgrace, Teddy should have been encouraged by the NRL to remain a WESTS Tiger and appointed as an NRL junior ambassador for the Macarthur area.
