  • Sorry about the formatting but you get the idea

  • Top 3 have dominated the competition, the middle 4 have had big wins over the bottom 4 sides but have also been on the receiving end of hidings from the top 3, the bottom 4 are mostly making up the numbers.

Hard to guage the top 3 as none of them play each other until round 8 (9 round competition), Wests Tigers play Sharks in round 8 and Steelers play Sharks in round 9.

  • And yet we don’t seem overly interested in getting involved in the WNRL ???

Yeah fair enough , the club has a lot of bigger priorities atm

Do any of the Jillaroos play in our side?

i follow most of the jillaroos on instagram and it doesnt look like any of them are playing in this comp

  • TG Cup is Under 18’s (9 a side) so you’ll continue to see big scores as they play reasonably big minutes for 9 a side, but your correct it is lop sided.
No Jillaroos (As all are over 18) they will be playing in the Harvey Norman Premiership starting this week (I think, Tigers or Magpies dont have a presence in that yet.
I believe the plan from Wests Tigers perspective is Year 3 of the Womens NRL, so 2020.

  • Re: Harvey Norman Premeirship, If there are the same sides as last year there was a Greenacre Tigers side that uses the WT logo, they were a middle of the table type side last season, don’t think there were any NRL affiliated sides last year, mostly local club sides like Caringbah, Redfern, Greenacre.

  • Wests Tigers Tarsha Gale side extend winning run

Wests Tigers Tarsha Gale side have extended their remarkable unbeaten start to 2018 with a tough 40-26 victory over the St. George Dragons on Saturday morning.

Coming in to the match on the back of five consecutive wins, the visitors were made to work for their points against a determined Dragons outfit, with the match locked at 16-all during the second half.

However, the class of Wests Tigers shone through to move in to second on the competition ladder ahead of a mouthwatering clash against the also undefeated Cronulla Sharks on Good Friday.

It was a fast start from Wests Tigers, who raced to a 16-0 lead in as many minutes before the Dragons fought their way back in to the contest. Shaylee Bent continued her strong start to the season with a hat-trick, while Emily Curtain produced another sound performance controlling the middle of the field.

All up, it was a resilient performance from Wests Tigers, who will take plenty of confidence from the 14-point victory as they prepare for a highly-anticipated showdown against the Sharks next weekend.

Wests Tigers 40 (S. Bent 3, Lake, Ward, Posiano, Curtain tries; Curtain 6/7 goals) def. Dragons 26 (Fasavalu-Fa’amausili 2, Mose, Naividi, Shum-Cottrell tries; Naikokatoka 2/2, Tohi-Hiku 1/3 goals)
