ducked in to my local one to get some raisin bread and milk this morning…no one warned me it was the annual ski gear sale weekend, bloke in front of me got $600+ worth of crap including blue plastic things i guess were toboggins

Opening days are always good for yucks, especially when they release stuff in extremely limited supply and people go ballistic when they are selling 60" tellys for $500 and only stock three of them. Someone who isn’t at the front of the queue always seems to get one and the meltdowns that ensue are hilarious.
This behaviour has led me to believe that no matter how society tries to pass itself off as civilised, this fragile facade is only as strong as a limited line sale at Aldi. We have no hope if a nuke goes off or a comet hits the planet.
