Western Suburbs Magpies Intrust Super Premiership Coach Brett Hodgson has named his side to take on the St. George-Illawarra Dragons this Sunday, July 1.

Kickoff for the match is at 11:45am AEST as part of a two-game program at Leichhardt Oval, which culminates in the club’s first-grade side taking on the Gold Coast Titans at 2:00pm.

Looking to secure their third win in a row, the third-placed Magpies will welcome several NRL squad members in to the side for this week’s game with Tyson Gamble, Pita Godinet, Jacob Liddle and Chris McQueen all named for Sunday’s game. 2018 Development player Dylan Smith will make his Intrust Super Premiership debut at fullback, with Watson Heleta (hamstring) unavailable for this week’s game.

After helping the NSW Residents side to a strong win over Queensland, captain Luke Garner once again starts in the back row alongside McQueen, while NSW Residents teammate Bayley Sironen starts at lock.

Jersey Flegg-eligible forwards Sam McIntyre and Alex Seyfarth have both been included on the bench, with a fourth player to be added to the bench closer to kickoff.

Sunday’s game will be broadcast live via FOX League with coverage to begin from 11:30am AEST.

Can’t even pull together a squad of 17. Which forum member should be named on the bench

Good to see Dylan Smith getting a run…

Oh Ok, hadn’t heard anything about it.

Yep this squad is barebones now. If Grant drops down too he’ll add some starch to the pack.

Will be good to see how Smith goes. Bench lacks any spark or go forward. Don’t rate Seyfarth or McIntyre at all. More plodders.

Dylan Smith is the young fella from the sharks?

From what I’ve seen of Dylan Smith he’ll need to lift his game to offer much at this level.

Yep Sharks system.

Finished his HSC at the start of this years preseason.
