The Sydney Roosters are reportedly “very keen” on signing rising star Jamayne Isaako from the Brisbane Broncos ahead of next season.
Speaking on 100% Footy, Neil Breen revealed the bombshell as the Roosters move to secure the blossoming winger.
“The roosters are very, very keen on Jamayne Isaako,” Breen said.
“He’s a goal kicking winger, he does the business.”
Isaako has enjoyed a stellar break-out season for the Broncos bagging a host of trys, but it’s his goal-kicking that has his coach Wayne Bennett impressed.
“I see him training every time we have a day off,” Bennett told NRL.com.
"He comes in and kicks goals and that is what practice does. It makes you better.
“A few of the goals he kicked [against Canberra] were from the sideline. They were crucial goals and magnificent kicks.”
The news comes as Isaako reaffirmed his commitment to the Broncos only days ago.
“I am still in communication with (Broncos recruitment chief) Peter Nolan and the club to extend my contract here. Nothing is confirmed at the moment but everything is looking pretty good for the future,” Isaako told NRL.com.
“I started my career here and I’d like to finish my career here. The Broncs have looked after me pretty well and given me the opportunity I have today…so I’d definitely love to stay here.”
