REPORTS: Josh Morris set for Sharks switch

Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs centre Josh Morris looks set to leave the club on a proposed two-year deal with the Cronulla Sharks, according to NRL.com.

Morris is the latest big name star to depart Canterbury due to salary cap dramas, with reports suggesting he’ll be at the Shire from 2019 and beyond.

Cronulla coach Shane Flanagan believes Josh Morris is the answer for the Sharks’ inexperienced backline, as Edrick Lee, Jesse Ramien and Ricky Leutele will all depart the club at seasons end.

Morris arrived at Canterbury in 2009, and has played 208 games for the Dogs, scoring 100 tries and partaking in the 2012 and 2014 Grand Finals.

The move looks set to end the playing careers of the Morris brothers at the same club, as Brett Morris too is coming off-contract at the end of the year.

If the move is successful, Morris will link up with ex-teammate Aaron Woods, who also had to leave Canterbury because of ongoing salary cap issues.

No confirmation about the signing from both clubs has been announced as of yet.

Morris has been a great player but is now a crock with chronic issues.
The Bus is not Noah’s Ark, the Sharks can keep him afloat.

And he doesn’t come cheap, how the he’ll are the sharks affording this? They are getting to the rooster level.

Surely the Sharks will take some of our deadwood of our hands for 2019
