Yeah, Cleary is gone - accept it people. Deal will be negotiated next week.

    Your source please!

    Television.

That would be about right with most things we are fed and swallow.

Just common sense really. More chapters and twists to come though.

Yep! thanks. I’ll file that under rest of the rubbish.

  • Meh I’m not getting carried away, if he goes well que sera sera, hopefully we bleed the Panthers dry and use the funds to lure a decent coach.

So you reckon he’s staying (by choice)?

This is hilarious listening to everyone’s little monkey brains trying to fill in the gaps.
Trying to read between the lines and just plain make stuff up, nobody takes anyone’s word, everyone is accused of being a shady liar.

    • Ivans old Penrith mate asked if Ivan would consider coming back to the Panthers.

    • Ivan did the right thing and told his current club about the discussion he had because he didn’t want them to find out from elsewhere.

    That’s it!!!
All the rest is noise, and people’s minds filling in the blank.

You left out the bit where he said he would be interested in coaching them. And you also left out the bit where he waited almost 2 weeks to tell his current employer.

The devil is in the detail.

You were in the room when he said that or did Hooper tell you that?

Ohhh please so what Ivans just taking his time for the fun of it.

He told them he was interested.

    He is considering it

  • @:

The longer he stays silent the worse this gets…
This is no small story as we all know so how hard is it for him to address the media and give update… Don’t all the members and fans deserve to know considering WE ARE on HIS bus???

This is piss poor from my point of view and they can cut the rubbish out about focusing on this weeks game as it would take them 10 mins out of the day…

    Exactly

Your honour! Please ask the witness to answer the question.

He didn’t say that to Go. So how do you know what was said by whom to whom?

    :blah :blah

  • Hopefully preparing our side to finally give it to the raiders :sign:

Whether Cleary snr would ask for a release to join him remains to be seen but Stuart, his brother-in-law, believes that won’t happen while Gould - who sacked Cleary three years ago - runs the Panthers.

“I couldn’t see Ivan going back there while Gus is there,” Stuart said.

“That’s just an opinion. Ivan was gutted [over his sacking]. The way Gus handles things - I don’t want to be seen putting shit on anyone - but he was saying Ivan looked tired and needed a year off. That was the way he tried to sack him. What’s coming out now with Anthony Griffin … he’s a control freak.

“I honestly don’t think Ivan will break a contract. He’s that tight with [Tigers chief executive] Justin Pascoe, I’ve seen it first-hand when I’ve travelled to games.

I would say a “brother in law” is a pretty good source and I doubt he’d talk to the media without the blessing of Ivan and his sister
