  • Easts Tigers booked their place in the Intrust Super Cup Grand Final with a 36-26 win over the Burleigh Bears on Saturday.

Trailing by six points at the break, the Tigers scored five of eight tries in the second half to advance for a shot at the Premiership.

Patrick Kaufusi scored the first try of the game and it was 18-year-old Tino Fa’asuamaleaui who kick started the surge after the restart when he crossed the line in the 43rd minute.

Marion Seve put in yet another dominant performance, running for a game-high 225 metres. It is the third consecutive game the mid-season Storm recruit has run for over 150 metres.

“Marion again ran for over 200 metres and got our sets off to a good start,” Easts coach Scott Sipple said.

“It was a really good team performance.”

The Tigers will now face Redcliffe Dolphins in the Grand Final on Sunday.

“Last time we played them we were pretty poor with our completions,” Sipple said.

“We will look to get off to a good start by completing our first few sets. Hopefully that puts pressure on them and we can see what happens from there.”

Storm fans can watch the Grand Final LIVE via the live stream on QRL.com.au this Sunday from 3pm.

Didn’t all these guys play for our lower grades at some point ?

  • One of the most impressive & inspirational young men you will meet. It is great to see things fall his way.

  • Would be a great effort if the Storm and the Easts Tigers make it through to grand final day.

Saw Seve last week, he looked sharp but nothing outstanding.

  • Keebra- same class as TMM; Lamar et al.

  • Has really kicked on at the broncos and storm, still playing reserve grade

:roll Just like Rankin, looked good in the ESL and reserve grade, and if JT didn’t love him, he would have been down that same path way as Seve earlier
