Wests Tigers Head Coach Michael Maguire has named an unchanged side for his team’s Round 3 clash against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs this Sunday at Campbelltown.

Kickoff for the match is at 4:05pm AEDT as Wests Tigers look to make it three straight wins to start the season for the first time in club history.

Off the back of a dominant 34-6 win over the New Zealand Warriors in Round 2, Maguire has confirmed an unchanged team for this week’s game with Moses Mbye returning to the number one jersey after his late inclusion last weekend.

His inclusion sees Corey Thompson shift to the left wing outside Robert Jennings, while Kiwi international Esan Marsters partners Mahe Fonua on the right edge.

David Nofoaluma (shoulder) has not been named as he continues his rehabilitation with the winger expected to be available for selection in Round 4.

Russell Packer, Thomas Mikaele, Josh Aloiai and Michael Chee Kam all retain their spots on the bench after another impressive showing, with Paul Momirovski, Josh Reynolds, Matt Eisenhuth and Chris McQueen named as reserves.

Sunday’s game will see a triple-header of rugby league action between Wests Tigers and the Bulldogs at Campbelltown with Jersey Flegg kicking off at 12:00pm followed by Canterbury Cup at 1:55pm and NRL at 4:05pm. The Bulldogs have not played at the South West Sydney suburban ground since 2011 while Wests Tigers will look to make it three straight wins at Campbelltown for the first time since 2012.

  • As to be expected.

Grub to have another blinder in state cup, keep the pressure on Benji.

  • Grub needs to get fit. 2-3 full games in reserve grade will do him good. He struggled last year with his fitness. He had injuries but still.

  • Danger game.

That squad should lap the dogs lineup - Pay has put the broom through the Bulldogs team and the new lineup should have issues gelling as a team - so many changes.

I think Madge will get their heads right for this one - this will be the difference between him and Cleary.

    Tigers by 40.

  • Keep it going Tigers.

  • I’m glad fonua is there and not nofaluma.

100%. Lawrence is going to have to do the same when he returns later in the season.

  • As expected. Boys to continue their winning ways against the dogs 🐯👍

  • Crazy changing a Winning team if you don’t have to

  • Grub wouldn’t be out of place in the 17, but no one deserves to be dropped. He has to bide his time.

Depending on how we are traveling. We may be needing him straight back in.

  • Eiso snapping at their heels after a big game last week too.

  • Keep it rolling. There are some real spot players in this Dogs team. CHN, Holland, Meaney are very poor defenders. It’s a shame they dropped Crichton and Montoya they are real liabilities.
Bad coaching by Pay these players are a big improvement but as long as Marshall King, Tolman, Lichaa, Holland play this should be a big score to the Tigers.

  • 13+ tigers. Lock it in.
