Wests Tigers Team v Canterbury

Wests Tigers Head Coach Michael Maguire has named an unchanged side as his team searches for a third straight win this Saturday night against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs.

After a strong win over the North Queensland Cowboys in Round 20, Maguire has named the same side for this week’s clash against the Bulldogs with Wests Tigers looking to win three games in a row for the first time this season.

Having played the full 80 minutes in the past two weeks, Robbie Farah will again feature as the sole hooker on Saturday with Jacob Liddle — who recently announced a contract extension with the club — listed among the reserves.

Liddle is joined on the reserves by uncapped rookie Tommy Talau, Josh Reynolds and Elijah Taylor, who is back available for selection this week after sitting out recently with a knee injury. If not selected for the NRL side this week, all four players could feature for the club’s Canterbury Cup side in Round 21 with Western Suburbs taking on the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles on Sunday afternoon.

Wests Tigers have named four forwards on the bench for Saturday’s crucial clash including Alex Twal, who will play his 50th NRL game for the club.

Wests Tigers will provide an updated 19-man team list for this week’s game at 7:35pm AEST on Friday, before finalising their team one hour prior to kickoff.

Coach: Michael Maguire

Seems to be working…so im happy… liddle will get his chance…

No Foran & Elliot will help the Tigers cause!!

Two very evenly balance teams.
We will need to get in front and stay focused through this game. It’s essential for our season that we win this!

their left side of Holland and Meaney are pretty ordinary, surely Benji will be looking to exploit that

dogs starting pack is good but bench is fairly horrible. if we match them eaely im confident we’ll get on top when the subs come on.

We struggle against this club… Dunno why

I say good team again as expected… No need to change a winning team and love the idea of 4 bigs on the bench.

Big game. It will indicate whether we have really progressed…we have lost/been embarrassed in these must win games over past 8yrs

Congrats Twal

Playing his 50th NRL game

They drag us down to their level…

Hopefully we give them payback for the loss earlier in the season. Up The Tigers 🐯

That came up quick. He’s well on track for the 300 club as well!
