So who had the worse end to the season? Us who missed the 8 again or the Ponies who made the 8 and were then humiliated?
I’d say the ponies - they would be in a mess right now.

If we made the 8 and played like that, you can only imagine the meltdowns. There’d be videos of supporters burning jerseys. Better off not making it all than making it and playing like that. Come at me haters.

Finals footy is a whole new comp played at a higher level than NRL.
If you don’t turn up or don’t deserve to be there you get found out quick.

Take the Broncos brand out of it, the semis always separates the better teams from the ones that scrape into the finals …

Their last two semi finals have been disgraceful , lapped 48-18 by Saints and then 58-0 v Eels

@Tiger_Steve many would say they didn’t expect us to make the finals. We met those expectations. No one expected the Broncos to get smashed like they did. I think they got the worse end. We’ll get our chance at finals one day. I just hope we will be able to lift to the level required and not get embarrassed the same way.

Broncos definitely, but I put Cronulla in the same basket. Though not humiliated so much on the scoreboard their non-existant effort against a highly under-strength Manly was just as bad, imo. It burns me that they prevented us from making the 8 only to put in such a limp performance like that first up.

Would have hated to get thrashed like that, but I def would rather we had of made it just to end the absolutely constant ‘the Tigers have the longest record without finals’ record stuff all over AGAIN next year…as well as the constant reference to ninth place.
So, yes…even the pain of a big loss would have worth it.
