Remember after the round two loss to the Roosters how Gus wrote an article questioning their commitment etc. and Benji said that it inspired them to improve against the Eels?
Hard to believe that it only took them a couple of months to produce a performance that was even more pathetic than that first one against the Roosters.

Then Gus professed his man-love for him. Thats what happened.
what - we have to be spoon fed now.

That is one of the problems with Sheens in my opinion. He had an outstanding side at Canberra which won games on skill alone. At battling clubs like the Cows and Tigers you need to be a motivator as much as a coach. They need to out enthuse teams and we rarely do that, if ever. Gould was brilliant at that and why NSW won so many series under him with his ability to inspire his players through words as well as tactics. Sheens obviously has a huge amount of knowledge, but how many times have you ever seen the Tigers play with real fire and rage? I know coaches like Anderson and Hasler have the ability to deliver an absolute rocket when required.
It is pathetic that it took a Gould rant in the paper to inspire the team. However it is becoming clearer by the day that that indeed probably had some influence. Such is the staleness at the Tigers these days and lack of inspiration.
