With the return of the 2020 NRL season just around the corner, interest is certainly starting to ramp up right across the game.

From the return to training to injuries, recruitment, retention and team news, there’s no shortage of talking points to keep an eye on as we count down to May 28.

This week, we look at what the rugby league world is saying about… our Round 3 team and what changes could be made from Round 2.

The team at NRL.com have their say on our Round 3 team with co-captain Moses Mbye and Luke Brooks both set to return to the side.

They’ve gone with Mbye returning in the centres — pushing Adam Doueihi to fullback and Corey Thompson to the wing — while opting for Josh Reynolds on the bench in jersey 14 with new recruit Harry Grant out of the side.

NRL.com predicts — 1. Adam Doueihi 2. David Nofoaluma 3. Joey Leilua 4. Moses Mbye 5. Corey Thompson 6. Benji Marshall 7. Luke Brooks 8. Josh Aloiai 9. Billy Walters 10. Alex Twal 11. Luke Garner 12. Why would we not play Harry Grant as hooker? Billy Walters did a solid job there when asked, but it was not natural for him. Good work Billy, but now we have Harry, Billy can be 14 or be ready to replace Benji if/when he goes down injured.

I will check the contents of my teapot just send me my fee

Picking a side before we know who we are playing …priceless

Would be silly not to start him. I read that he’s been impressing at training too. Big question is whether he’ll play 80 minutes or not.

Hopefully Doueihi goes to fullback too

would be pretty concerned if the spine didn’t consist of Doueihi, Marshall, Brooks and Grant come round 3. we didn’t bring them over here for nothing. the extra preseason will do Doueihi a world of good as well.
