Bellamy reluctant to praise new Rule Changes
-
Heard Craig interviewed last night and surprise, surprise, he was very reluctant to give his endorsement of the new rule changes. Everyone else has nothing but praise.
Basically said its only round 1 and that he didn’t see all the games.
Was also asked if Melbourne will need to change their defensive style (interviewer was hinting at their wrestling).
Bellamy said “No, doesn’t really affect them any more than any other team”.
Yeah Right! -
Rugby is going to speed up the rucks. The plan is to remove line outs, the maul, introduce a play the ball and get rid of the breakaways. Drop goals will be worth 1. With these changes rugby believes it us on a winner.

Need to drop 2 players off the field

You mean the Wallaby forwards would really have to work?
-
Storm dropped way too much ball especially in attack is what cost them especially against a team like the Raiders…
They will adapt to the new rules …
-
The Storm also got away with a lot of wrestling in the 2nd half. If the new rule is applied as it should have been throughout the game they will lose a lot more games as well.

sort of Hope Olam or Seve have a bad game so Momo gets a run
-
I agree that a sample of 1 round is way to small to call the changes are a success.
-
Of the top sides it was always going to hurt Melbourne and Brisbane the most
-
He is right that it’s only the first round of a new design. Journos just want something to write about.
-
Melbourne has a way of adapting (exploiting) the boundaries of the rules. Give it a few rounds and ask him again

We already just about have that new game.
It’s called Rugba League!

A lot of injuries
Speed of the game + size of athletes = fatigue
Grounds / Stadiums getting overused
So many injuries at the Rd 4 stage of 2nd comp …imagine at this rate what the injury toll will be by Rd 18
SOO will be last men standing

We’ll be OK I heard that Madge has been scouting and spotted a baby in a pram down at Drummoyne the other day. Didn’t have a dummy and was holding his bottle in his left hand. Instant replacement for Jennings.
