When Twal is back he goes into the front row.
      Huth keeps the 13

      2. Grant
      3. Twal
      4. Garner

Twal and Huth are quite similar players but Twal offers a bit more in attack and is more consistent, Huth has a better passing game.
I would rather have one enforcer and one impact player in the front row and a good defensive lock like Twal or Huth.
You have to do the best with players that you have available though. If you had a good attacking lock like Jurbo, Radley or Murray you could play your defensive workhorse as a prop.

That’s how I’d line them up as well …
The Huth has better ball skill than Twal

Huth could be a Payten type Prop for us and in the fast game could be good for us.

Twal defence and quick play the balls are brilliant.

If I was Madge I would be kicking my speed men up the backside to support the big boppers. They often have arms free but no support.

If a player is excelling in a position and finally settling and producing the first thing is supporters want him to play another position … until the coach play players that are excelling in a position other than swapping and changing will just be making up the numbers ! Esio plays look full stop !

I think you need to have variety in your middle forwards

The stats below are from last year and these are my own definitions, not from any reputable source.
Top props like David Klemmer or JWH probably fit at least 3 of the categories.

Impact: runs hard, bends the line in attack
                  Enforcer: hits hard in defence
                  Defender: high tackle efficiency
                  Workhorse: makes lots of hitups

                  Alex Twal (Workhorse/Defensive, TE 95.1% 190cm/104kg)
                  Zane Musgrove (Enforcer 192cm/110kg)
Thomas Mikaele (Impact, TE 92.3% 190cm/109kg)
Russell Packer (Enforcer, TE 93.8% 187cm/119kg)
Oliver Clark (Workhorse, TE 91% 191cm/107kg)
Josh Aloiai (Impact, TE 94.1% 189cm/106kg)
Matt Eisenhuth (Defensive, TE 92.5% 197cm/110kg)
Elijah Taylor (Defensive, TE 91.1% 180cm/101kg)
                  Sam McIntyre ?
                  Shaun Blore ?

And that is what we need, even Elliott who is going pretty good in a bad dogs team

I think you would find that mclntyre fits in between the enforcer and defender, he has a very nice tackle technique that can only be improved

I don’t think you can drop Huth after his last few weeks.

A strange couple of weeks…people couldn’t wait for Huth to pack his bags for another club quick enough, now you want to relegate Twal from lock for him!

People don’t realise there’s 30 men in a squad for a reason. I’ve always said Huth is good player to have on the books for the right price.
