Recent attempts to attract Trell to the Tigers as their Franchise player were set on the premise of outright electrifying talent that would set us apart, attract more comparable player talent, satisfy community aspirations about our Indigenous acceptance, delight and placate sponsors, motivate our fanbase, and promote our media profile on all levels.
All that would naturally transfer into consistent winning results, so long term our face within the NRL would be changed forever.
But, alas, things didn’t go to plan (who’d have thought!).
So back to the time-honoured drawing board was once again our only place for new beginnings in a cycle like no other.
2005 was this club’s momentary highlight, and has (tragically) proven to be a mere pimple of a beacon reflecting the success craved by one and all.
      Where is our magic?

Koroibete is a Wallaby, JAC is at the Storm, Moses is an Eel and Papenhuyzen is at the Storm.

Put those four in our backline and we are magic. We had them, we lost them.

We are the second best attacking team in the comp that’s not our issue. We looked so bad because we had no field position and we made about 30 metres a set our forwards got dominated. As soon as we got field position for a decent time we scored!

Take away Harry Grant from our 2020 side and we never look like scoring!

Teams a getting use to Harry and can read what he’s upto I think with Reynold gone Walters should come back on the bench so Harry can have a break and WT’S can mix it up a bit around dummy half Benji & Walters mixing it up.

No field position because they had their quick blokes targeting our kicker with good results. Then we backed up poor sets with mistakes

Lots of frustration and it is understandable.
I thought last night was pathetic for 60 minutes from both teams and the ref. If our edge didn’t collapse (Thanks captain) south’s were never going to score, we were rudderless and Cummins showed he is a waste of a sperm and an egg.

I can cop the odd low standard loss but not when we are 8th and playing 9th after a 17,493 year finals drought (who’s counting?)

Our attack is definately our issue. We smashed two below average sides which pumped up our for and against. Don’t get fooled. Against decent opposition we have struggled to score points for years.

We need speed!!! The only player with any is Brooks and he is too stupid to use it.

Stats aside, do you believe we have the second best attack in the competition.

When we have field position we score. If we could control a game like roosters and constantly have field position and momentum we would score heaps a game. Unfortunately we get put on the back foot too often. Overall our attack isn’t second best but when we control the game we can score points easily.

I think we’re going ok but we struggle to score points against good defensive teams. We’re a long long way behind roosters, parra, Penrith, Melbourne imo.

We do struggle against them but again we don’t get much field position against those teams. Against Penrith and raiders we got camped on our own line for like half the game. We need to learn how to turn momentum in a game and take control that’s what the good teams do really well.

Two teams today laden with scoring talent - Parra and Newcastle 10 -4 scoreline. It happens in games when teams commit to defending - which seems to be the mantra of all the coaches.
