Great win. Far from pretty and we weren’t at our best but we have played some really good games this year and lost so i’ll take the not at our best and the win. Manly stole our specialty of having a lead and being run down.

The glut of possession they had seemed to work against them late in the game. For example, Sirro had about 18 hitups by about the 60th minute, which was a career high for him and then got whacked in the ribs by Garner which knocked whatever energy he had left out of him. The last 10 minutes, Manly just had nothing left in the tank.
Normally teams tire from excessive defence. Manly seemed to tire from excessive attack!

Thought there were maybe 1 or 2 bad calls but overall reffing was ok.
Our pack can’t control other sides and it leads to errors in attack and defence.
I agree, the calls were generally OK but I think we probably deserved a few 6 agains. Calls tend to flow with possession and we had very little for long periods and fatigue leads to penalties against.
No doubt the refs could do better, but our dropped balls and offloads conceded are a real worry. Not to mention things like bad play the balls and no dummy half.
That “no dummy half” play, pissed me off so much. The lead up to that play was awesome, we went through so many hands I thought we were gonna score of that.
Guess who played the ball quickly without checking there was a dummy half?

Lucy has been our most consistent forward all year.
The problem for lucky Luch is he has no room to move now because his a marked man has 3 to 4 players hanging off him in tackles.

Liddle came on, Grant went in to playmaker mode, Brooks finally decided to play both sides of the ruck and run the ball, Benji stopped calling for the ball on every play, forwards ran on to the ball instead of taking it standing still. Its so annoying when you see that they can play an up tempo game and run roughshod over a side.

Fitness got us over the line there. Guess all that ‘hard’ training has its benefits. And to think that one of these guys had to run, not walk, on eggshells for 80 minutes makes the win even more unbelievable.

Last nights post game show was a vomitathon

Deadset garbage broadcasting -
WTs were much better with McIntyre, Taylor and Eisenhuth on the field. McIntyre and Taylor use the shoulder to drive into a tackle. Eisenhuth works.
Jiash A has a lot if work to do in defence. He is a grabber and many times third man in. JWH makes is personal to get into the tackle first. Tapau and Fonua Blake rolled through the arm grabs.
