Wests Tigers Coach Michael Maguire said Ofahengaue’s experience and versatility would be a strong asset for the club’s forward pack moving forward.
“Joe has a tremendous hunger and determination to produce his best football with Wests Tigers and we’re excited to see him on the field with us in 2021,” Maguire said.
“At 25, Joe is already an experienced forward in the NRL who has played at an extremely high level in his career and I know he will add a lot to our team in the years to come.”
Wests Tigers CEO Justin Pascoe welcomed echoed Maguire’s welcome to Ofahengaue.
“On behalf of all at Wests Tigers, I’d like to welcome Joe to the club and say how pleased we are to have secured a player with his talent and ability,” Pascoe said.

Agreed

That’s that then, we move forward rubbing our hands in anticipation.

Welcome to the mighty WT Joe. Hope to see him rekindle his pre 2020 form and play a role in us having a pack that consistently goes forward. Savvy piece of work from the club given the Broncos will be chipping in.
As for JA, being a footnote is a fitting end given the way he is exiting the club. -

Whatever people think I like our recruitment the last two years. We are not paying overs, we are recruiting big solid forwards with a lot of upside and juniors are promising. If only we can get a fullback and hope to god that Brooks can aim up for a change.

No doubt Josh has tarnished his reputation and in my opinion listened to very bad advise.

I reckon brooks will fire up without Benji tbh, and this is coming from one of the biggest Benji fans ever

You can assume this “disclosed fee” crap takes Siro off the table, It’s offset somewhat by Joe.
-
At least it’s official, and I’m quietly confident we’ve come out ahead in this.

I hope so. Wish they tell him to play direct instead of stifling our centres…
