There’s a piece on Tigers prop and Camden junior Neil Begovich in this week’s Big League magazine. I wasn’t aware of this, but Begovich is actually self-employed as a Carpenter, and has taken Joel Wisbey on as an apprentice. Begovich says he had some regrets about playing junior rep footy with the Dragons but that’s where a lot of his friends were and he is pleased to be back “at home” with the Tigers. He has also set himself the goal of being able to train with the Tigers fulltime squad in the next off-season. He is also the Tigers leading metre maker among the forwards at the moment.

From the few NYC games I’ve seen this season big Neil definitely has a future at the Tigers, an off season training with the NRL squad will strip a little of that body fat, he’s a big unit that I hope to see playing first grade soon.
