I have no doubt that we were the best team in the 2010 Finals Series and the two teams in next weeks Grand Final are only there due to the assistance of the Robert Finch and his men!…
In the roosters game only a one eyed chook supporters would not agree we were by far the best team on the night only to be robbed by poor referring decisions that went against us!!..then last night…what a disgraceful performance by the referees…first half the Dragons received 7/8 penalties in a row…whilst they played the supposedly “perfect game” even though they were so offside most of the game…then toward the end of the first half the referees, for fear of their own safety more than anything else, “found” a few penalties against the Dragons to quieten down the angry Tigers fans…in the second half the trend of penalties against the Tigers and the obvious no penalties against the Dragons continued…how that wasn’t a penalty for kneeing Lote in the back is beyond me…???..Oh, I know, if they gave the Tigers a penalty they would’ve possibly won the game and that was never in the referees game plan!..right!!!
I’m sorry but thanks to Robert Finch and his men the best team will not be contesting the 2010 Grand Final…the Dragons have got nothing…they are a boring team of cheats…The winner of the 2010 Grand Final will be the referees…TABSPORTSBET.COM.AU…I’m convinced of this!..I’m also very proud of the West Tigers!..They are a great team and deserved better…finally…good luck to young Leyton…I had a tear in my eye when I saw him walking out of the tunnel with Robbie!..

we were the best team in the semi’s - what a beautiful team to watch and i want it again and again - i dont want to go another year without playing in the semi’s - poetry in motion
-
We played the grand finalists a total of 6 times this year including a trial match.
We won none of those.
I think a pretty clear thirdWas our kicking better last night?
Was our defence better?A 4 point loss, a 2 point win, a 1 point loss….3 games averaging out to a combined -3 in f/a…
-
good point ink about playing the grand finalists 6 times this year - not one win - we will never respect illawarra again and the cocks are despicable - we should of have them at campbelltown and we owned them in the semi’s if rhino falls on the ball from the scrum
-
Look at the games in the finals that didn’t involve us:
Titans thrashing NZ
Dragons thrashing manly
Raiders edging out penrith
Roosters thrashing Penrith and the GCThe Roosters and the Dragons have been waltzing through the finals apart from their games against us. If I had to rank the 8 teams
1. Saints
2. Easts (may swap after next week)
3. Wests
4. Canberra
5. GC
6. Penrith
7. NZ
8. ManlyA fairly decent sized gap between us and Canberra, and another between Canberra and the Titans.

if they were the best team why arnt they in the GRAND FINAL…… they played very well and deserved finsihing in the semis should be proud…

As a club the team must learn to play with passion approaching these levels week in week out year in year out.
So many things can go wrong during finals, refs, injuries, bad luck etc so one needs to be ther 4 years out of 5 to increase the chance of things falling into place.
2 from 10 isn"t good enough.

If not the best, definitely the most entertaining!

I’m happy to call ourselves the third best team in the competition. The Dragons and Roosters did the hard yards to get there, got that bit of luck that perhaps we didn’t get. That’s what gets you there. A combination of good football and luck. The fact we beat neither grand finalist this season means it’s hard to argue.

I think a pretty clear third…I agree with Ink - 3rd Best.
We weren’t good enough to put teams away this year either in the regular season or the 3 semi finals
We lost the ability to wreak carnage in all but the Warriors game this year but developed the Grind and Scramble element of the game that has for so long eluded this great club.
I am hanging for 2011 already and can’t wait to see how a settled off season together will greatly improve the combinations.
Very Proud Tiger.

Still our biggest problem is mistakes at the wrong time, we had the roosters at half time and the dragons aswell. Unfortunately poor kicking options in the 2nd half with Farrar 2 very ordinary kicks, Benji 1 out on the full and Beau knows (nothing) really cost us last week.
St George’s second try came after Farrar decided to kick down the left side with no chasers on the last tackle while the rest of the team was lined deep on the right for a Marshall option, when Boyd picked the ball up and passed off saints made 40m and we never recovered. Obviously Farrar took this option without letting anyone know, all we had to do was run the ball or kick for chasers and get our defence set. It’s good to play adlib football and Farrar has created heaps of tries from his options but hello its a final and opportunities are at a minimum all we had to do was play smart, control the ball and we would have been there next week. -
I think we are the best team in the comp, thats what has made this whole thing so frustrating.
Our kicking game really killed us against the Dragons……who we repelled pretty easily.
Farah and Bunji, our clutch players came up with about 4 clangers when we really just needed a repeat set.One repeat and I reckon we score…we were stretching them when we had the ball.
The kicks were awful and lost us a game/comp we really should have won.
Such a shame cos the tickers on our boys are enormous and they deserved it.

I dont know why people say our kicking game killed us :s
As far as I know, there are three kicking games:
1. Long Kicking: Benji was onsong with his long kicking, found space every kick with good metres and even when insie our own 30 m line sometimes.
2. Goal kicking: 2 from 2 what more??
3. Short Kickin: Yeh maybe let us down a bit, but we didn’t get into the opposition 20m as much as we would want to have a short kicking game!!
-
In our three finals games we were in the position to put the other teams well and truly to bed by half time and in all three games by not playing the percentages and taking silly options we capitulated . Thats why we came third and thats why the other two teams are better. Both St George and the Chooks had experienced players making percentage plays. We proved that when we had field position we were unstoppable but were not prepared to take the percentage plays when needed. Both Benji and Robbie need to take a long look at the tapes of the last few weeks.

Were you alive during the last 15 minutes??
The kicking……all of them,(we didnt take a goal kick)were abysmal.
Farah shanked one that led to a try,and Bunji puts one into touch with about 7 to go that leads directly to the fg and the game.
