Not many videos on it yet though, only weeks 1 and 2 of the finals

I think most of the forward passes and a few other small things are nit picking.
I can live with referees missing the small things, but when they make a mess off the big things its unacceptable.
I think the sooner we go back to one referee the better.
The worst thing about all the bad decisions we got in the finals is that no one in the media mentioned it.
All we can do is work on the things we can control such as kicking, ball handling etc. -
I think the legal case would be more interesting, you’d think if he were succesful it’d open the floodgates.
Await the forum Perry masons.A KEEN punter is taking legal action against the National Rugby League over a video-refereeing decision.
Wollongong bus driver Carlo Giacometti has taken the NRL to the small claims division of the Local Court over the loss of a head start bet because of what he alleges was the wrongful awarding of a try in the July game between the Brisbane Broncos and today’s grand finalists the Sydney Roosters.
In his statement of claim served upon NRL Ltd at its Sydney Fox Studios headquarters on Friday, Mr Giacometti said that he was seeking relief in the sum of $270.30 plus filing fees of $83.
The claim states that he had placed a $51 wager at odds of 5.3 that the Roosters would win by more than 6.5 points.
His claim said: ''At the 70th and 71st minute in the game, the rules were not properly applied - a try [four points] which was clearly not a try, was awarded to Brisbane by the video referee and subsequently converted [an additional two points].
''The defendant is responsible for the proper administration of the rules of the game of rugby league.
''The defendant is the employer of the referee and is vicariously liable for the actions of the match officials.
‘‘The plaintiff suffered loss of his wager as a consequence of the grossly negligent administration of the rules of the game.’’
Mr Giacometti said his bet was not a large sum of money but he was taking the action because he had had enough of poor refereeing decisions.
He said although the Roosters won the match by two points, the try to the Broncos was awarded by the video referee before any video replay of it was shown to the public a minute after the ruling.
‘‘If they want to get it correct before the bookies pay they should check, like in racing, to see if there is any protest upheld,’’ he said.
‘‘They [Roosters] should have won by eight points. I think that a lot of people feel the same as I do.’’
Mr Giacometti has gone even further in his fight for National Rugby League betting reform and has set up his own website, refgotitwrong.com, which features footage of other video-refereeing errors during this year’s NRL season.
He is also urging other punters who have lost out to join him in a class action against the NRL.

epic fail,
SKD may not have gotten that last try to take the roosters out further ahead. Different score on the board will evoke different reactions to given situations. If the roosters had have kept that lead, and the broncs gone no try, they roosters may well have defended the lead, not go for an extra try.
This guy is a fruit loop.

Can we make it a class action? I’m up for say, mmmm a million $ for emotional pain and distress, and my wife wants some compensation for having to put up with me after we lose due to those dodgey refs calls. She reckons a mill is about right for her too.

I don’t know why they don’t have a coach challenge rule. e.g. 3 challenges a game to go back (like the NFL) to the video vote amongst the 3 refs (2 on-field and video). If the coach is right, he doesn’t lose a challenge and decision is reversed.
It will fix so many problems. It will stop coaches blaming refs and applying silly fines when they do, take the pressure and fear off the refs and make sure the right decisions happen in the game. Plus fans should be more comfortable with the result.
I honestly think it might add a bit of an exciting element into the game and shouldn’t slow it down much.
Thoughts?

It could be a great website if they just stuck to the real stinkers and not the bread and butter forward passes. The bloke has zero chance of getting his claim upheld I’d think but he’s getting some good press out of it at least. He would’ve paid more than his $83 lodgement fee to get an ad that size in the paper!!

Also if you’re running a website picking out every little error, it would help if you spell player’s names correctly. Apparently our captain is a bloke called FARRER…

if one team were running low on gas the coach would turn it into a sham by burning 3 challenges on nothing just to stall game.although it does have merit in the nfl not all plays are challengable.
