CHRIS LAWRENCE TO MAKE AUSTRALIAN TEST DEBUT
5/11/2010 10:31:05 AM
Wests Tigers centre Chris Lawrence has today been chosen in the Australian Kangaroos Test team to play New Zealand at Eden Park this Saturday. It will be the 22-year-old’s Test debut. Lawrence has been named in the centres with Wests Tigers team-mate Lote Tuqiri retaining his wing position.
Wests Tigers hooker Robbie Farah will come off the interchange bench. Farah made his Test debut during last year’s Four Nations tournament.
The selections of Lawrence, Tuqiri and Farah by Wests Tigers and Australian Coach Tim Sheens means they will come up against Wests Tigers five-eighth in Kiwi captain Benji Marshall.
Tuqiri will play his third Test match since returning from rugby union after turning in solid performances in the wins over Papua New Guinea and England.
Lawrence has previously represented the Australian Prime Minister’s XIII team in 2007- 08 and City Origin in 2010 and is a strong chance of representing NSW next year. Lawrence will become the 771st player to represent the Kangaroos.
Congratulations Chris from everyone at Wests Tigers.

Excellent stuff!
-
great news for Chris to be in the team.
also good for Lote & Robbie.
would not be suprised to see the ball go out to the left a bit in the game.
Lote & Chris work well together at club level, hopefully this will continue in game against Kiwi’s
enjoy the game fella’s.
you have worked hard all season and this is a reward for your efforts. -
Worth watching now. Should be a tough tussle.
-
Looking forward to this. Hoping he has blinder!

Great times for the Tiges! -
hehe hope all the guys have great games!
big crowd too

We have Chris and Lote gatherin dust on the left hand side.
Those Melbourne half wits pass to the right side and kick to the left.
Pass it left you clowns!!!
-
Every time the ball has come left it’s been turned back inside to a backrower. And all the kicks to the left have been shockers.
Maybe Sheens is scheming to get Smith to play right in the hope it won;t work (it’s worked so far however) so that when he brings Robbie on and gets him to play left and they score lots of tries he can drop Smith for the final. -
It was fair enough on the try that Cronk scored though.
Other than that I agree.
I don’t know if it’s a game plan or the other players are deliberately ostracising them
