I did not want to be the bearer of bad news - but as noone else has touched it - I want to congratulate Watto on the likely success of QLD Origin in 2011 with Ricky Stuart officially confirmed as NSW coach today!
It is strongly tipped that Laurie Daley will join him as assistant and selection adviser (there will no longer be any formal selectors)!
At least we will have Farah at the Tigers through the Origin series in 2011!

stuart’s the clown that makes dumb statements such as “pearce should be nsw captain”. he is not the man
-
If they pick a decent side and have a proper support staff, it doesn’t really matter who the coach is. Queensland have proven this. But if Big Nose Daley is involved then we’re headed down the same road as the last 5 years.
-
Hmm he cant be worse than Bellamy. Bellamy would have to go down as one of the worst in origin history.
Good luck Ricky -
Stuart was the last coach to deliver NSW an origin series wasn’t he?
That said, the news that Daley will be around the squad and have some responsiblility in selecting the squad will nullify that and ensure QLD’s success continues (which I won’t complain about either
)

Yep. Although it was so long ago it’s hard to remember sometimes…

Daley was part of the problem for the past five years!!! How can they even think about giving him any part to play in the new team?

Good luck RickyI think Ricky will do OK and that he may be open to the Tigers players If they are on form in 2011. He respects Sheens very much.
As for Craig Bellamy, I am not so sure of his coaching credentials in light of the Rampant cheating and loaded playing roster. This will be shown up over the next 2 seasons as the Storm roster returns to normal. I probably could of coached that team to the semis and a GF win as well.
Robbie is an auto selection @ 9
Lawrence and Gall will hopefully be playing well enough to warrant selection.
Blues are on the way back

The bloke simply cannot coach quality attacking football - and if we try to win a series through tough defence and impotent attack (a’la Bellamy) we are once again setting ourselves up to be embarassed!
-
SHEEENS!!! AND NO ONE ELSE!! i want sheens to be coach of NSW.
Stuff the independent commission and all that bs about a full time coach.
-
Well, we’ll see how this goes I guess……I really don’t like seeing Daley anywhere near the side though
-
It is pretty bad when the best NSW can come up with is Stuart as coach. Apparently Daley will be involved as well, he loves the way Ennis plays, so the upside is we have Robbie on hand for premiership games. In fact I hope WTs continue to do well so I can continue to concentrate on club games and forget about SOO.

Can’t stand the bloke, team selections always suck,
i’ve lost all interst in state of origin. -

That side looks pretty good, but Josh Dugan has to be there IMO. He’s the best we’ve got.

hehehehehe. What a shame the 2011 SOO will be another farce.
