BON JOVI SHOW THEIR SUPPORT FOR WESTS TIGERS
      By Wayne Cousins
      20/12/2010 12:03:52 PM

Rock band Bon Jovi are the first people in the world to own the new 2011 Wests Tigers jerseys.

Prior to their first Sydney concert at the Sydney Football Stadium on Friday night, lead singer Jon Bon Jovi, guitarist Richie Sambora, drummer Tico Torres and keyboard player David Bryan were each presented backstage with a personalised Wests Tigers jersey by Captain Robbie Farah.

Publicity photos of the jerseys presentation were taken, giving Wests Tigers incredible marketing exposure of the new jerseys, both locally and overseas.

The band were excited to play at one of the home grounds of the Wests Tigers and appreciated the efforts the club made in presenting them with their own jerseys.

Wests Tigers can now lay claim to have one of the world’s greatest rock bands as real supporters.

The new Wests Tigers jerseys are not available for sale until early 2011.

Big deal, they took some pics holding our jersey. Bon Jovi wore a Souths jersey during a show. Now that’s publicity!

That’s spreading it a bit thick, isn’t it??

Meanwhile, I went to my first ever Wiggles concert on Sunday (thanks to my 3 year old son). Anthony Field, noted REAL SUPPORTER, mentioned Wests Tigers a couple of times during the show.

Should have given the Jersey Boys a WTs jersey each and they could have worn them on stage when they sang at the Carols by candle light last saturday, would have been greater exposure.

Notice there is no sponsor on the back of the jersey?

…… and anything Crowe pulls off is magnificent eh Chris???

I am glad we are not the ones dealing with the Crowe-orchestrated Inglis saga mate!!!

There is more capital in a premiership than Oprah’s off-set head-wear!!!

(And Jackman apparently gave her a Manly jersey…)

x 1. As Bill Hicks once said: “Stevie Ray Vaughn was one of those greats taken from us too early and yet we can’t get Bon Jovi on a helicopter?”

Spot on. The Rolling Stones are the premier rock act for mine. They were fantastic when they were down here a few years back.
