WESTS TIGERS PROVIDE SPECIAL CHRISTMAS GIFT
By Wayne Cousins
21/12/2010 5:17:10 PMWests Tigers have given a very special Christmas gift to the family of little Lleyton Giles.
The courageous five-year-old has touched the lives of Wests Tigers players, staff and supporters with his bravery in his fight against a terminal liver condition.
Lleyton faces more surgery in February after already undergoing more than 30 operations since he was born.
Wests Tigers CEO Stephen Humphreys recently presented Lleyton’s father, Wes Giles, with seven Ultimate Gold Memberships for the 2011 Telstra Premiership season for the entire family on behalf of the players and the club.
“Lleyton holds a special place in the hearts of everyone at Wests Tigers and has proven to be a real inspiration,’’ Humphreys said.
“The family are a big part of the Wests Tigers and I know the players enjoy spending quality time with Lleyton when he comes to training.
“The images of little Lleyton sitting on top of the shoulders of his hero Benji Marshall and the players forming a guard of honour at Campbelltown will I’m sure forever stay in the hearts of our supporters who witnessed that memorable moment.
“This Ultimate Membership package is our little way of showing our on-going support for the family. We wish them a very Merry Christmas.”
The package will see the Giles family watch every home Wests Tigers game in the comfort of a reserved seat. The package is worth more than $1700.
