Tim Sheens said that the squad will be almost full strength when we go up against the Eels at the first Campbelltown game on the 19th Feb, does anyone know when the squad will be announced or any ideas who won’t be there? Tickets go on sale tomorrow, can’t wait for the footy season to start!

It’s a logical choice given the second-string side going up to North Queensland. I wouldn’t expect the side to be named until at least Tuesday before the game, possibly as late as Friday given it’s a trial. Sounds like Ellis will be missing…Fifita could also sit this one out along with Ayshford who is injured.

Apparently as of recently only 2/3s of our squad were 100% fit.

The first half will likely be played by players from the State Cup games. Second half will be the first hit out for the likely starting NRL squad and tapering to maybe a more serious attack on the Foundation Cup?

Do we know if its going to be halves or quarters? With unlimited interchange I’m sure as usual people will go off and on all the time and a few smokies will appear in jumper numbers not listed in the programme.

sheens generally treats trials like a real trial. tries lots of players in different positions etc. guys like farah and marshall will probably play one half max imo
