Team for Friday Night Anybody?

Wests Tigers U2Os Coach Grant Jones has named his team to play North Queensland Cowboys at ANZ Stadium this Friday night.

North Queensland finished the regular season in second place on 38 points, eight points clear of seventh placed Wests Tigers. The Cowboys beat Wests Tigers 32-18 in their only encounter this season in round 19.

The match will be played prior to the Wests Tigers versus St George-Illawarra Dragons qualifying final after Wests Tigers finished in the NRL top four.

Wests Tigers will be hoping their large army of supporters will be at the ground early to help lift the U20s team to victory. A loss will possibly see the side eliminated subject to results of other qualifying matches.

Kick-off is 5.15pm. Gates open 5pm.

watched the 20s on sat against the sharks they looked like midgets compared to the sharks where has all the size gone ???

wierd set up with finals draws …. 2nd plays 7th away and in another state. similar thing happened last year with the bunnies 20’s

They try to keep teams together like the Weststigers this year and also the reason Warriors playing Newcastle in in 20’s in Brisbane.

Seems strange as not much advantage to leading comp but it does make sense to keep clubs together where possible.

sort of makes sense, but as you say no home advantage at all. there must be a better way though

Consider that Groats and Woods aren’t in the mix, so the team loses size in the forwards. BMM will add some size.

This game will be live on Foxsports 1 from 5pm….
