Another young, unpredictable Kiwi with amazing skills and talent al la Benji. Does anyone think it’s possible that he could even surpass our great five eighth in future years?

Probably not Flip
I think he lacks Benji’s pace and Benji’s brilliance.
However I think he is more consistant than Benji -
and here is at just 15 -

He’s got benji covered for pace easily, look at the try he scored against the broncos, I Think he takes the line on a bit more than benji and def has a better kicking game. But i wouldnt swap benji

Very early days for him. Who is to say what the future holds…
That wasn’t too Captain Obvious, was it?
-
Let him perform at that level for years and work through the injuries that may come his way before compaing him to the great Benj….
-
I think he might be a more consistent player by perhaps playing percentages more and knowing when to be conservative and when to be freakish. But I don’t think he will hit the same level Benji can and does play at(on occasion).
Also I think Benji has and will have more options and more combinations with his team than Johnson - the Benji-Lawrence combo is potent, and perhaps if Moltzen stays and continues to improve it too will be potent.

So long as he continues to play with James Maloney he will be awesome. If James Maloney leaves the Warriors he will be expected to be the main leader of the team, which could put pressure on him. Atm Maloney runs the show and Johnson adds his input whenever needed.
Congratulations on his selection to the Kiwis squad. What a spectacle it would be having Benji and Johnson playing together.
