Who would you prefer at half-back, pretending that none of that Lui stuff ever happened, just purely on ability. It’s maybe a 20% chance that Moltz will stay, if we had both, who would you put at half? all hypothetical of course

In a perfect world Lui 7 Moltzen 1
Unfortunately that world is far from perfect at the moment -
Moltzen without a doubt though he was finally starting to become a good fullback , lets hope and pray he will get out of this dragons contract
-
Moltzen in the #7.
Back to where he belongs and is most comfortable and will pair with Marshall as a great halves combination.
Although he was going great at fullback - which I mainly attribute to the confidence, strength and game time he had achived after his injury which will translate seamessly into the #7 role.
-
Lui is twice the 7 Moltzen is…. If Moltzen returns, I’d say he will be playing Fullback.
-
Lui supposedly signed with Cowboys - Moltzen supposedly staying?
-
when I saw Moltz in half-back last year I was like “whatever” but he’s really come a long way as a full-back and a player in general. Some people say it was just luck but I think he’s actually maturing and he’s shown the skills to be a playmaker. Also he doesn’t have the same defencive weaknesses as Lui, he was really solid at the back this year. So my vote’s for Moltz, regardless. Keep Tim and get a super-fullback

I would have Lui at 7 and Moltzen at 1. Moltzen was going very well at the back end of the year and the way he would split the line off the inside passes from Marshall were awesome. Not to mention, Lui stepped up is game as a result of increased confidence and the team was reaping the rewards of it.
Also, if Moltz were at 7, there would be no room for Lui in the top 17 each week and they are both to good to have one player wasted in the NSW Cup.

Lui everyday of the week. Moltzen has no kicking game or passing game. He doesn’t know the first thing about directing a team around the park, the guy is an individual player
I can’t help but think this thread is based around the whole Lui leaving and Moltzen staying scenario, trying to find a link, to where Moltzen will slot into halfback next yr
Moltzen IS NOT a halfback. Perfect example was the Dragons semi, last tackle 5m out from the Dragons line, Moltzen at dummy half put in a kick that went 5 m dead. I would have thought the way he finished the yr, that would have showed everyone where he plays his best football
-
I know its just the Crapegraph however….
-
Lui for sure if its for the #7
PS I am mega angry at Lui for this crap were are having to deal with.
PSS It bugs me that if he is let go that a rival club will simply snap him up.

@ HALFBACK LUI > MOLTZEN
We’ve been through this so many times.Moltzen @ #1 or not at all.
Unfortunately, may or may not see that again in tigers colours. -

Letting Lui go will be beneficial to the club to an extent much greater than his value as the current first choice halfback

Its a massive step backward putting Moltzen at halfback. If, and its a big if, he’s a tiger next year he’ll be fullback. He was the 3rd choice halfback this year, so i doubt Sheens would play him there.
