ROBBIE FARAH EXCITED ABOUT BLAIR IMPACT

Wests Tigers Captain Robbie Farah believes Kiwi international Adam Blair will make the same positive impact on the team as Gareth Ellis has done.“Adam is a winner,” Farah said.
“He is used to that winning culture at the Storm and has played in 3 grand finals.
“Adam has played in a winning Four Nations side and a winning World Cup side for New Zealand. He just knows how to win.
“He will bring that attitude here, that ruthless attitude. He doesn’t take a backwards step and he will stick up for his team-mates.
“For us, our immediate job is to make him feel welcome, make him feel part of the team and make him feel like he belongs. We will then see the best of him.”
Ellis said he was very much looking forward to packing down with Blair.
“It is great that we will have so much international experience in the side next year. There are some high calibre players here now,’’ Ellis said.
“When I first signed with the Club, Tim Sheens told me he planned to bring in a world class player every year. True to his word, Tim has brought in Lote Tuqiri and now Adam Blair.
“I’ve always been impressed by Adam’s attitude and work ethic. He is the type of player you love playing with.
“For me, they are the best players. The guys who do all the little things and he is one of those players.
“I know all the boys are really looking to playing alongside Adam.”
I cannot wait for season 2012 to start. Bring it on.

Robbie’s excitement is understandable given the strength of our back row in particular (assuming Ellis and Blair are picked there) and then having Kangaroo Keith in the front row with him and Woodsy for starters.

Technically Blair hasn’t played in any Grand Finals
Yeah getting off point he will be wonderful addition to the side and hopefully the Woods,Groats ,BMM’s ,Begovich’s will learn so much from him especially defensively and learning how to win the ruck -
But he was really in the gf and did play in the world cups so he does know how to win and im glad his with the tigz for next year

does this mean cunno, that we wont lose the games anymore that we’re supposed to win and imbed ourselves in the top 4 next year. I know on paper its possible - but what about reality cunno - how do we sit with you thus far?

Thus far I am feeling confident about next year AHX, we will have a strong pack of forwards, two very good centres, one of the best NRL players at 5/8, we wait to see what happens with half and fullback so they are the important unknowns at this stage. Nonetheless I reckon Wests Tigers are top 4 material and I look forward to getting to as many games as possible (definitely all the home games) and a few more as well, would like to get up to Brisbane next year and possibly Auckland for starters.

Just a side note. when does gareths contract end? i thought it was end of 2012 but would love him to finish his carrer here.

Now we have another top line player Robbie will be able to hide a bit easier when the the pressure comes!

Ellis, who originally thought his stint with the NRL and the Tigers would last no more than the three years he originally signed for, says having Isaac spend his first years in Sydney played a role in the English Test second-rower committing to the Tigers until the end of 2013 - to a point.
