just wondering how everybody else knows xmas it’s gettin closer (besides the obvious eg date )
Mine would have to be the feastin on xmas ham. Bit of ritual for us that i go to the club get drunk, win a ham come home drink more beer then slice the ham up for the kids to feast on as we did 2nite  -
Well our normal Xmas ritual will be far more expensive than normal As all local seafood shouldn’t be touched unless wearing protective clothing the price of prawns will skyrocket from the usual price of $15 a kg for the sweetest medium banana prawns you would ever eat to over $30 a kg for stuff from elsewhere
They have certainly stuffed Gladstone Harbour The last test they did over 80% of the Barramundi caught were diseased

No good happy i went dragging with the net the other night up “mungo brush” and we pulled in 6 kilo they were a good size and pretty lush too should be a good season -

My conspiracy theory on it all
The red mud dams at Boyne Smelter have started slowly leaking into the harbour They are blaming the dredging
Then in the next story say they are going to dredge the Narrows so there aren’t so many boats coming into and out of the harbourForget how it is going to upset some of the best crabbing grounds or Yellowpatch reknown throughout Qld as one of the best spots around for everything
