AARON AND BEN TO SUPPORT CHERRY AUCTION
8/11/2011 5:01:30 PMAaron Woods and Ben Murdoch-Masila will be among the hundreds of people who will be getting out to the annual Cherry Auction held at Sydney Markets tomorrow morning from 6am to 9am.
Woods and Murdoch-Masila will be present from around 7.30am to 8.30am as they take in their first live Cherry Auction. Money raised from the day will go to “Save our Sons”, a charity dedicated to fundraising and research on Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, a degenerative muscular disease with a 100 percent mortality rate.
Now in its 32nd year, the Sydney Markets Annual Cherry Auction’s inaugural year was back in 1980 where the winning bid was $65. Last year, around $130,000 was raised so this year’s event will be looking to surpass that amount.
Woods and Murdoch-Masila will be promoting Wests Tigers Membership while they are there, as well as running a pass the ball competition and mingling with the crowd.
Many media personalities are expected to attend including Big Sports Breakfast hosts, Terry Kennedy and Michael Slater who will be hosting their breakfast program live at the brilliant Sydney Markets venue. Balmain Tigers legend, Paul Sironen will also be on hand to help out on the day.
Wests Tigers Members and fans are encouraged to come along and show their support for what should be another successful day.
