The recent publicity with the Premier, Woods and Dwayne Wade got me thinking as to how much the WT’s profile and status has changed.

In the beginning the WT’s were an afterthought, an amalgamated team with buggerall money, not a great playing roster or the highest profile.

Today we find the club is the premiership favourite for 2012, has one of the games strongest rosters, is one of the most popular teams and has such a profile that we are associated with some of the biggest names in world sport.

We find ourselves with terrific major sponsors providing an increasing money train, a strong management team and are now a club that a lot of littlies would love to play for in the future.

A major fly in the ointment however is our ground situation.

The SFS is great, however a long way for the suburban followers to go and see a game, Campbelltown only gets 4 games a year and Leichhardt Oval is in dire need of a major update, so this situation is still a work in progress.

So people, all in all, the Wests Tigers are in an increasingly strong position to improve on this situation and reinforce our position as one of the marquee clubs in the game !!!

How far this club has come in the last 10 years is amazing. Its full credit to Tim, his coaching team and the administration. Even from 2006-2009 when we were not making finals, you could see things coming together off the field making us better and more professional.

The players also deserve credit, apart from a few patches here and there they have been great ambassadors, the quality on the field is matched by the attitude off it.

          I love this club!

I doubt you will see the usual suspects appearing in this thread, but Humphreys has made a massive difference. I for one think he and his board are doing a fantastic job.

Wests Tigers need to play 4 games at Leichhardt and the rest at Campbelltown.

I acknowledge this idea would suit me but I also acknowledge it wouldn’t suit supporters from inner Sydney. If only the state govt could afford to add to Campbelltown Stadium and Leichhardt oval so that the capacity of both were increased (in some comfort) so that the money could be made by the club so that the SFS was no longer needed and our games could be shared between Leichhardt and Campbelltown only.

I doubt they’d move any more games towards Campbelltown until they start to consistently sell out - which is probably a logical decision, same with Leichhardt. We need the SFS to avoid the sticky situations when we have crowds above 20,000

I don’t know if what Bug said is the answer, but one thing is for sure, they need to secure the Liverpool/Mcarthur reigon, because teams like the Roosters and the Dogs have in the past tried to sneak in. We have to put as much effort as possible into alwayz maintaining the area as Tiger territory :sign:
