Personally don’t think anyone really stood out Probably Gareth
          Rowdy’s defence was good

Rowdy by far…didn’t put a foot wrong in attack…very solid in defence…I still cringe when he gets tackled hard or is twisted…I always look for signs his hip is ok…

I think you are being nice Ink to Rowdy First 15 minutes he dropped a ball (not easy I know) where he would of scored untouched ,gave away a penalty and got brushed off pretty easily .

I don’t believe Lawrence was any chance of scoring from that play Happy. He was running into traffic when he dropped the ball. I still think he was the pick of the Tigers throughout the tournament though, more for his defence as he didn’t get a lot of good ball in attack.

I don’t really think its fair to say any one player from any nation really grabbed the tournament or a single game by the scruff of the neck. No one really dominated the competition IMO.

The Tigers players that took part were all honest. They never let anyone down, but by no means did anything remarkable.
I thought Lawrence just looked to be just a fraction off being a stand out. There were a few occasions where he just missed making a break, or was slightly out of position. I think he’ll be better for the run and it will only improve him as a footballer.
Keithy did what he was picked to do, come on and cart the ball up for 10-15 minutes. While he too didn’t set the world on fire he certainly didn’t disgrace himself. I think this will be the first of many Roo tours for Galloway.

Gareth Ellis did what we all expected, ran hard and tackled harder. Win lose or draw Ellis can always walk away with his head held high as he gives 100% in every game he plays.
I don’t mean to be negative but i believe the four nations showed why Chris Heighington has never played representative football for NSW. Heighington is probably one of the most honest footballers to play for the club, while honesty wont lose you a match it wont win you one either. IMO Heighington is not in the same class as the Lewises, Thaidays, and Ellises. Congratulations on the caps for England.

Ellis was terrific as usual, maybe not the standout forward of the tournament, but easily one of the toughest.

I was worried about Lawrence coming into the series, he played very little footy this year, and never really got back into form for us, but he stood up and showed why he is one of the best centres around. I can’t wait to see how he goes next year after a full offseason.

Galloway didn’t get as much time on the field as I would have liked. I hope Sticky pushes Gallen back to lock and we see a more traditional forward pack for the blues, he can still pick a bench full of backrowers, but let Galloway/Mannah lead from the front rather then having to save a bench spot just in case Gallen runs out of puff playing in the front row.

He was the best Weststiger by a long way.

Don’t forget that Sheens, for some unknown reason, moved him from left centre to right centre. Go figure.

He was always a handful in attack and was the best defensive back for the Australians. Great tour and should be the first picked in the SOO next year (at left centre).

Ellis had a pretty good tournament but in my opinion he wasnt even the best backrower. I thought Thaiday and Watmough both outplayed him and Lewis wasnt far behind.

By head, shoulders and torso, Rowdy was our best. Remember he really had no claim to even be selected this tour due to his injuries over the past 18 months. He was well short of a gallop going into the tour and for the most part played like a demon. I can not wait untill he comes back to us next year. I believe he is 1/3 better player than he was before this tour. He will kill the comp next year.

Big congrats to Chris….you let no one down mate.

I feel the exact same way about Origin, Gallen plays the same game regardless of the number on his back. It makes sense to me to have Gallen and two props on the field and then theres the option to push Gallen into the front row if need be. I dunno how Mannah keeps getting a start i’d look to Galloway and Tim Grant, Aiden Tolman or even Luke Douglas.
