Those who buy Wests Tigers merchandise at Gearzone Campbelltown might not be aware that the shop is moving this month. Apparently the shop is being relocated to Macarthur Square on the ground floor next to the Hobbyco shop. A good move imo this location is far more convenient being located at the major shopping location in the area.

That’s right Cunno,
I was talking to the manger just the other day and she did confirm this. Apparently sales are good on gameday but the rest off the time it’s very quiet. As you said, a good move. I can’t see any retailer wanting to stay at the Brands on Sale Outlet, it’s always deserted. -
Very uninspiring the current location, last time I was talking to her she said they were looking to relocate to Macarthur Square and I am glad that is going to happen…Good move.

This should be in a prime spot IMO.
I was in Centro Bankstown just before Christmas passed the Enemy store and there was a line out the door and 30 meters long…
-
great move. the square is already popular with tigers fans (mostly on a thursday night). the shop will double its sales in the first month.
-
Excellent move by gearzone.
Macarthur square is the hub of shopping in and around campbelltown.
If you go to brands on sale you wouldn’t even know that gearzone was there unless you accidentally walk past it. -

I agree Spartan, the Bulldogs store at banksbown is in a prime position. Gearzone at macarthur won’t be in as prime a location but at least it will be there, prime locations at Macarthur are all taken at the moment.

This is a great move.
Now we need a store in Burwood Westfields. Then we are set.
-
That brands on sale joint will be closed within two years IMO. Proven to be an epic fail thus far.

Good move re moving to macarthur square. Not sure burwood will happen as it will be astronomical rent at westfields vs little rent at concord oval shop.

Speaking of supporter shops, I was surprised to see two identical All Black supporter stores directly opposite each other on Queen St, Auckland. I know the Kiwis like their Rugby, but surely one store is enough?

For the ultimate thrill, go on a Thursday night.

Rang up wests to see if the new gearzone had opened yet, got told by rhonda “yeah its open”!
take the 20 min drive up to the square to find it all boarded up….nice.
Ring back wests and speak to unknown fellow who says its not open…really.
He says it will open in a couple of weeks…after the season starts?
So i ask him if the old one is still open to which he replies no.So on the eve of the season Wests tigers have no merchandise outlets in their heartland?

I love that store. I’ve put some money into that shop I tell ya. My wife hates it & she’s a tigers fan!(go figure) My 4 year old says “not the tigers shop again dad” Yes darling, the tigers shop again…
