The broadcast deal cannot be negotiated in earnest until the Independent Commission is finally installed a development expected late last year that’s still several weeks from fruition.
Insiders then expects CEO David Gallop to talk to networks for several months as he strives to deliver the code a deserved $1 billion-plus windfall per season.
“We mightn’t know what the cap will look like until much, much later in the year,” said Humphreys, whose Tigers have representative stars Lote Tuqiri and Tim Moltzen off-contract. “The uncertainty is putting things on hold to a certain extent”.

Lookin at our list we might need a winger…Mick Oldfield or Sandor Earl may be cheapish pick ups.
If our halves situation isnt sorted I’d hope we go for Luke Walsh…oh and look Luke Burts off too

I’d sign Burt just to piss Demps off.
Agree on Walsh too Ink. His one strength is our only real weakness.

I really hope we have a crack at Cronk. If Lote ends up retiring I think we would have a decent shot at getting him.
Or we could always get Johnny Morris back in the halves

I try and keep it realistic, I cannot see us signing Cronk……we dont like QLDers anymore anyway

Cooper Cronk is a pipe dream. Luke Walsh would be a more realistic option

Cooper Cronk would be excellent.However have a look at Ray Thompson from the Cowboys if he is off contract next year,gives 100% each game…

I think Earl is a good player and was one i looked at as a cheap buy

Michael Gordon & James Segeyaro would be my two picks that wont break the bank. We will need some money in the bank for 2014 I think…

Souths will throw everything including the kitchen sink at Cronk IMO. The Tigers number 1 priority should be re-sigining Tedesco, followed by Moltzen, Ryan, then Lote - dependent on how he performs in 2012. Brown, as much as I like him, is replaceable. Bell is a wait and see proposition also.

I agree with this, Brown is a dime a dozen, Utai, Moors we wont bother resigning.
As you say, we need to resign Tedessco and Moltz.
I think that we should put time and money into the kids we have (tedessco,miller, Koribete etc). Maybe purchase 1 player if we lose Lote.
I like every league fan on the planet Id love Cooper Cronk at my club, but Id also like to spend some quality time with Jennifer Hawkins and with the US Masters…none of which are likely

Heard on the radio today that the Bulldogs are most likely to sign Dugan next year. Apparently they have a fair bit of cash to spend.

I’d resign B. Ryan, Moltzen & Tedesco.
If Lote goes hard in 2012, I’d give him another year or two also.
Bell & Brown i’d have to think about.Others from the list I’d buy would be Dene Halatau, Sandor Earl & of course, Keiran Foran.

- James Segeyaro/Matt Ballin
- Luke Burt/Michael Gordon
- Cooper Cronk
- Sika Manu
I’d have Brett Stewart on ability, but wouldn’t sign him because he’s a scumbag. Foran, while a worldbeater, wouldn’t fit into our structure.
