@Staks:

What will happen if Lote doesn’t become a Tiger in 2010 ?

he will have to suffer a major season ending injury for him not to wear the tigers jersey next season, and thats wests tigers no that uk union tigers team.

and humphreys saying there is no guarentee only proves why i say he will look foolish when lote becomes official, and is the second highest paid tiger behind marshall. not to bad for a guy who has “no guarentee” of a contract hey.

Anderson……what part of Humphreys has to play it exactly that way don’t you get…Until Lote sorts out what he wants to do …He can’t be ‘guarenteed’ anything given the NRL’s stance on guess stints for rival codes…It’s not that hard to understand…

What If…while over in yhe UK playing yawnion…Lote gets an offer from Irish ping pong…and decides to take it up and not come back to League at all…Humphreys would look pretty foolish then …saying he had a ‘Guarenteed’ contract with us…

well either way he would look foolish and knowingly decieving the nrl boss to do so isnt a good look is it, i know he has to play it this way by denying lotes signed or agreed to terms, but to say he has no guarentee of a contract when he finishes union, isnt fooling anyone and is a redundant statement IMO.

Who would of predicted that a thread about the possibile signing of a dual international would descend into a pathetic d*** measuring contest?

Now I remember why I stopped bothering with the forum.

Anyway do proceed. One day your manhoods will be vindicated in cyberspace

well maybe you should give up your mod powers then since you broke rules buy swearing in a post.

If Aus dont click in this game they, along with Sheens, are GOOORRRNE

well hayne has accused england that they will tank their game vs NZ if they beat us this weekend, not exactly the mindset you wanna here in a must win game

you wouldnt get an apology from me even if i was wrong, i know 98% of people on here were grateful for my info just you and a couple others who have a problem for some reason, and although my source was pissed that i leaked the info, i had already done it and it couldnt be taken it back, he just asked in future that i dont publicise any other signings or inside info.

anyway ill let people know via PM’s from now on and you and other haters can wait weeks after for the papers to “break” a story.

i agree hes done a great job with this whole saga, but the statement he released yesterday is just setting him up to look like a fool in 3 months when lote returns from union with a contract that has him being in the top 3 highest paid players at the club.

and if the leaks would have kept their mouth shut ,he wouldn’t need to release a statement at all.
there is a process that has to appear like it has been followed.
while you obviously don’t understand this, this is the way it is from the stance gallop has taken.
simply sit back and allow this to follow its course on the timing of each event was all that was required.
this is what we will give you.
go sign with rugby and be back by this date.
once you have signed with rugby you can then sign our contract.
done,no worries.

but once loose lips are involved we have our ceo having to make statements that were not needed to be made if a very simple plan was followed.

i hope you arent having a subtle dig at me bon. if you are referring to me as loose lips, you didnt seem to mind them when you PM’d me asking what was going on in this whole lote thing didnt you.

humphreys is gonna look like a fool when they do announce lote as a WT recruit. especially after he plays union

Can’t agree with that at all……Humphreys has been right in the middle dealing all along with Lortay’s lack of commitment as well as Gallop and his croonies at the NRL…Shortly after meeting Gallop last week… Gallop was quoted in the Press for first time saying Lote was clear to return to the NRL…after any Union commitments were finished…

If anything in all this Humphreys has proved to me that he is cool under pressure… very measured in what he says…determined to get results…far from looking like a fool …When he decides the right time to announce any futher signings it will be done on his terms…not the media or the fans…

He has been very impressive for mine for a man only 3 months into a job where 2010 shapes as the clubs most important season to date…

the part where i was refering to him looking foolish was when he said if lote choses to play union there is no guarentee he will have a contract waiting for him when he returns, which you and i both know geo to be an untrue statement from humphreys.

now thats not bad considering he has “no guarentee of a contract with the tigers” isnt it

@Tigertime:

this whole lote saga is doing my head in.

This thread has recieved huge interest over a player who has not played league in years, he is coming to the Tigers to retire so he ain t going to get any better or younger, if we can get him cheap great, but buggered if i know why there is so much hype,

bring on Lima i say

ummm hes a dual international and one of the highest profile athletes in australia, over the years so many have complained about not getting the top quality high profile players and we snag one of the biggest names ever and people like you dont understand whats the big deal with it?

some are never happy.

Just spoke to my gig one minute ago who has told me that the money that has been put up for Tuqiri is absolutely no where near $400K a season. It is a tad more than half of that.

If Tuqiri is there for the 2010 kick off he will be on the left wing. Tuiaki wont be staring the season.

well your gig dont know squat because WT are paying a bit more then 200k for lote for with the rest made up from 3rd party arrangements. lote will be in the top 3 highest paid players for us

WT are not paying him $400K. I will bet my life on it. Maybe its around $400K when you include the 3rd party payments.

umm yeah thats what i posted, WT may not be paying him 400k but he will be in our top 3 money earners after 3rd party top ups (like i said before) lol.

BTW im still waiting on that PM you were gonna send me a couple days ago too bug
