I think the hard part about being a Tigers fan is , we watch the favouritism to the top clubs , and , correct me if I’m wrong , we all find it really hard to watch , because on Paper we should be right there with them .
We really should be at the very top , with the amount of supporters , A truely generational talent in Benji , and from my count if we get rozelle off the ground , 5 functioning leagues clubs . I understand the frustration , but I truely feel the tide is turning , and until then we will always have a chip on our shoulders .
Well then we have to work harder to become one of those “Top” clubs.
Been a good off season so far
Been linked to LM and JAC
If ivan was in charge we would be linked to Shaun lane and ben hunt
I’d take Shaun Lane
Yeah me too. I think if Ivan was still in charge we’d more likely be chasing Alex Johnson and Matt Prior!
Madge was talking with Alex Johnston before the Mitchell stuff. Might talk to him again now
I hope not.
I like Milford
He is often quite dangerous in attack and has great short bursts of speed
Can also be quite illusive at times
I think his problem is he looks a little disinterested in playing for the Broncos at times
I can’t remember the last time I have seen him smile
Maybe he wants out
When he was signed by the Broncos he was expected to be thier messiah
I think the pressure wore him down somewhat
The same is happening to Boyd
Broncos are a big club with big expectations and results
If Milford came to the Tigers he may feel the pressure released a little which in turn may allow him to play his natural game
Which is more of a running game
Then maybe we will see more of the Canberra Milford
If that could happen then I am sure most on here would say yes to Milford
A reluctant Yes to milf but on nowhere near the dollars he tricked the Broncos in to parting with.
He simply has not delivered since leaving the raiders.
We have enough dead wood already without assuming additional risk
If he “has not delivered” or we have “enough dead wood”, why the hell would you even have a second thought about Milf.
Matterson had to go
Is it coincidence that he joined Parramatta after all the rumors which circulated prior to November 1
I think not
Should we have used Matterson as a bargaining chip to get an early release for Utoikamanu
Well if we knew at the time then the answer would be yes
But there lies the point
At the time of releasing Matterson we probably didn’t know that we were going to sign Utoikamanu
We may have targeted him once Parramatta spent their money on Matterson
It could have been a very smart play by the club as we got under the gard of Parramatta
But instead of congratulating our club for signing the next Payne Hass some of you want to kick our management in the guts without knowing the facts
Parramatta may have just thought hay, let’s get Matterson as he is a great player on a cheap deal and he wants out of the Tigers
They spend their money on Matterson and when they do that and let their gard down they have no money left and we pounce on Utoikamanu
Brilliant play I reckon
We don’t want players at our club who quite clearly don’t want to be here
Now whose our next target from Parramatta
Let’s really P them off
We could not officially negotiate with Utoikamanu until after November 1, and the club wanted Matterson off their books before then.
Thank Christ that’s over …
Mitchell’s a flog …ain’t worth 1 million
I said from the start this was a risky and very pricy attempt to solve our problem with so called a”Big Bang” recruitment.
When he didn’t sign within a reasonable period the writing was on the wall for us. As someone already said we pulled the contract about a week later than what we should have done and in this period we very well may have missed the boat on a number of other fronts.
I know that some of us are disappointed but … but believe me … we dodged a bullet.
What other boats? The woman basher and Capewell are the only 2 players that have made moves over the last week. If anything, they’ve pulled the offer at the right time, so they can make a decent play at JAC if he becomes available.
Brimson, Staggs and Papenhuyzen are the biggest name backs that have extended recently that I can recall. Curtis Scott may or may not be signed up with Canberra already. It’s annoying that we were focused on Latrell and then got dicked, but I’m not going to criticise them for it.
How is Brimson going to feel if the Titans do sign LM, we might be able to pick him up cheap as the Titans signed him to play Fullback.
