Croker signing a four year deal with raiders. Cotric still available. Can play centre or wing and is quality.

Man. 🔥🔥🔥

Sign him and Gulre to make the transition to Sydney less hard on em.
Set em up and watch the points pile up.

Cotric is Raider through and through born in Cooma NSW educated in Canberra … he won’t leave. Emre Gurle though could be a different story …born and breed in Bankstown NSW … he’s parents still live there and own and run a Turkish restaurant there called “Watsup Brothers” … so the chance of him wanting out of Canberra is pretty real … I’m 6’4" 100+kgs … Emre is a little shorter than I, but by crikey he is a man mountain in body size … !!

I wouldn’t be so sure of that… Cotric spends most of his weekends up in Sydney with Guler and a few of the Pommie contingency from Canberra.

There’s a reason Cotric has not re-signed with the Raiders. He’s not convinced on his future role and does not want to stay on the wing.

Dogs are making a big play for him…

Doggies already got 2 fullbacks playing in first grade… I imagine that’s where Cotric wants to play as well?

Cotric played all his junior football in the centres.

On signing his original contract at Canberra, and over the years the message was that he was to spend the first couple years on the wing and would move into the centres once BJ moved on. The Curtis Scott signing has stopped that, hence the reluctancy to re-sign.

From what i have heard, his preference is to move to the centres as he knows the position, but would also welcome moving to fullback given the position pays more and is more involved.

Should also note, just because the Dogs are going hard it does not mean he will sign with them necessarily.

What’s The Buzz this morning

SHOOSH III
The big-money interest in Bronco David Fifita is not just from the Rabbitohs and Titans. Another Sydney club has come in with an offer to blow them out of the park. We’re sworn to secrecy but watch this space.

Reckon it’s us?

No, it’s not.

Minor news but just read Watson Heleta has been released to Parra on a development contract.

From us? Surely not after the Stefano situation?

Heleta has been at Parra since November, well before the Stefano situation.

I’m a bad judge. I dont and have never rated Momo.

Credit where its due, he had some reasonable games toward the end of last year and then pulls out some token rep selection. Good Luck to him.

But seriously, he is barely a first grader.

Unpopular opinion: I agree with this. He’s an average footballer who played a couple decent games and went over for some tries at the end of the season, primarily to good half play. I think people get carried away in general with a couple good and/or bad performances.

On the other side of the coin, i think someone like Jennings has much more potential but had a rough year adjusting. He has the potential, we saw it at Souths and at Penrith before that. Some players have rough transitions for one reason or another and i expect Jennings to have a massive year this year.

Expect to get momo and grant rubber stamped by friday

Good to see someone in the media is report the correct wages. The 2.5mil from Hooper made me laugh so much.

As I said earlier In the day, it was a blessing in disguise roosters became involved as Souths ended up chipping in for 2021 as well as 2020.

FYI - The figures floated around by Hooper are completely incorrect.

Doueihi and his family wanted the Tigers for a few reasons, but mainly as they see it as the clearest path to a long term position at fullback/five-eight. They were never filthy at the club, that was agent work to get Tigers to front up the money for the entirety of 2021 as it became clear Souths would not.

Souths agreed to subsides some of the 2020 contract. Due to the Roosters involvement, it now also seems Souths are willing to front up some of his salary 2021. They were not willing to front any money for 2020 or 2021 for the Roosters, which meant Tigers could offer a better deal. Tigers also offered a 4 year deal, Roosters a 3 year deal.

Basically, there is no cooling off period as there was in seasons past, in which a player could renege on a deal once agreed, finalised and registered with the NRL. Stefanos contract was never registered and finalised as WT were waiting for a response about his release from Parra for 2020. If he had been granted a release they would have had to amend the contract to add another year with the relevant salary to match, then register it. Now that the contract is signed and registered it’s official and cannot be broken unless the club grants an official release from the contract.
