I was right … didn’t take long for all the knockers!
Realistically Sheens is talking his players up before the start of the season and Moltzen would need to kill it at half to be picked there for Origin this year - but people seem to forget he has already been named in the emerging Blues squad while Sheens had him playing half , centre , wing, fullback and bottlewasher last year.
Obviously some of the good judges of football talent in this forum haven’t been asked to be rep selectors - or maybe they don’t know as much as they think 😒

And my guess is that they would not pick Moltzen in any position. I certainly would not.

I’m not saying he deserves to get picked this year either - he would need to play a series of blinders to be even considered.
My point is the guy consistently gets bagged on here for not being able to pass , not being able to kick , not being able to tackle , not being safe under a high ball , not running the ball back right .
Let’s get serious - the guy is a FIRST GRADER.
I dont think he would have made it this far (including all the junior rep football) without a little bit of football ability.
Fair enough to criticise if he has a shocker here or there but he is not devoid of talent (or ticker) like a lot on here make out he is.

bahahaha… You do realise he was selected by the same NSW Selectors who havent picked a winning combination for 50 years!

I’d love to see Timmy Choo Shoes playing Origin… :roll

Ayshord and Woods are in the emerging squad as well - maybe in a few years we can get them in with Farah , Galloway and Lawrence and ,like the days of old , dominate Origin with a team stacked with Tigers 😃

I’m one who thinks Fifita has enormous potential - and hope he goes on to show it.
For some reason he fell out of favour towards the back end of the season with us.
We lost against the Warriors primarily because of a poor last tackle option near the end of the game.
Not sure that if Fifita had been there he would have booted the bloody ball down the other end of the field…

Won’t be long before the anti - Moltz brigade get on this one….
Obviously his coach doesn’t think he’s lacking what’s required for SOO - skill, heart …and a backbone

Will be interesting to see how Mullaney goes for Parra (Wenty) against us in the State Cup this week.
It wasn’t that long ago everyone was talking him up like Tedesco is currently being lauded.
Personally I thought Sheens should have given him a chance at top level last year - especially with all the injuries we had.
Also wonder why he went to Parra of all places with Hayne moving back to fullback.
Anybody know why he did choose Parra - or were they his only option?

Hard to believe the sports editor lets nothing stuff like this appear in the paper.
Obviously they are looking at space fillers in the off season but letting Rothfield carry on rubbishing Marshall or the Tigers ad infinitum is over the top.
He is becoming the Pat O 'Shane of journalism- can’t hide his bias and always gets facts wrong. 😆

Can’t work out how we can find money for Mason after having to dump other guys.
Not saying he mightn’t be a good buy.
In regards Moltzen getting hurt- we do have a few other options ( although without much first grade experience).
If he did get injured they would need to step up a la Cherry Evans.
By the way Bug I don’t think you can put Moltzen in the brittle class for having a knee reconstruction-plenty of others in that category.
How would you describe Inglis - fragile?
