I think Robert Jennings and Manu Manu would be two welcome additions to our side.
Jennings has pace and knows have to score a try whilst Manu is aggressive which is desperately need in our pack.
If we were to sign both then a player from our current 29 player roster would have to be released. Hoping that player is McQueen or Rochow.
If Brooks leaves for the Roosters good luck for him. As a player you want to win a premiership. At Roosters he might have the great Cooper Cronk mentor him.
Martin Taupau should be our next and last signing for 2018 unless Maguire cuts some of playing group like McQueen.
Twal should be given first opportunity at lock.
Looking forward to Marsters continuing to develop into a fine centre.
I would like the following to happen
Foran back to Manly to be with Dessie
Reynolds back to Canterbury where his heart and soul is. Read somewhere recently he was holidaying in Bali with Canterbury players
Taupau back to WT. WT to assist Manly with their salary cap issues.
If not required I would leave spot 30 open for a quality signing.
Peaked in 2009.
Hayne is either Parramatta (where his heart and soul is) or French Rugby.
Hayne is a me player and yes on his day he a great player but for what he is after, his age and what we have built our club on he does not fit our 2019 narrative.
As others have alluded to Maguire will eat him alive in pre season. Never been a good trainer.
In short a big “NO” from me.
Born in Canada. Moved to England when 18 months old
Both parents are English
Grandparents are from Denmark and Hungry but meet in London.
Came to Australia as a 3 year old under my Mum’s British passport.
Ten pound POMS was our ticket to Australia.
Lived in Australia for 46 years so consider myself an Aussie.
Easts were brilliant and Keary had an unbelieve game. Was a no brainer for Clive Churchill Medal.
Easts bought Teddy and Cronk to fill positions they were weak in to it worked perfectly.
No matter what you think of Cronk, I am a huge fan, he has played in 8 Grand Finals (modern day record) and has won 5 of them. He brings so much professionalism and inspirational. Will not be considered an immortal but definite a Hall of Famer.
So glad Ryan Matterson and Paul M are both coming to WT in 2019. Hopefully they will bring some of the winning culture to WT.
Given Cronk’s injury and having won another Grand Final do Forum members believe he may announce his retirement and if so will Easts look at the Dally M half back Luke Brooks as a replacement?
Melbourne develop their players whilst Rooster buy their players.
Storm will be too strong across the park.
Storm have players like Smith, Slater and Munster who know how to win the big moments during a game.
Any other Coach would have Ryan Hoffman play the Grand Final but not Bellamy who is only interested in picking the best 17 to win the game, That makes him a great coach.
