First experience of the stadium last night and I may be in the minority, but I was quite underwhelmed. The seating was good, but it may be just because of the poor atmosphere but the stadium didn’t feel very special at all.

Firstly the lighting is going to take some getting used to, it is always in the eyeline and can be distracting.
The Corporate section completely takes away any real chance for a great surround atmosphere, looking across at it all night made the stadium feel even more empty than it was.

Then there was the poor effort at making the stadium feel like a home ground for us. The intros for the team felt generic and the lack of using the LED banners was atrocious. The club really need someone who can create these and have something more than a plain WT on a black or orange background and a black and white piece of the logo appear. These banners can easily be incorporated into the prematch (the Eels do it) but not utilising them just makes it seem like we are playing there as a neutral team.

Maybe if the atmosphere was better then I would have felt better about the stadium, but at the moment it is nothing more than a generic ground that may have decent seats but not much else.

Got bottom concourse, row 14, sitting about 5 or 6 seats in from the stairs that are on halfway which is basically what I was wanting (at ANZ or SFS have had seats about that far back and between the 40 and halfway wanted the back row of the lower concourse on the aisle, but that was gone).

However, I was lucky that my time was switched from the 12:15pm slot to the 10am one, otherwise I wouldn’t have gotten that or anywhere near I think.

Can I ask how long you have been a member for?

11th season in 2019.

Maybe someone with some good crayons can have a stab at a jersey similar to this years card??

The Dragons seem to get the Kogarah/Wollongong split to work. Campbelltown and Leichhardt split with ANZ for a bigger game (Easter Monday/ANZAC/Double Header) would work fine.

Also with the discussions of expansion in the A-League, Campbelltown Council are talking about upgrading Campbelltown Stadium for the United for Macarthur bid. So with that happening the Tigers need to step up and push the council to move forward with the upgrade and promise them more games each year in return as council seem to be open to hosting more games at the ground.

Also I would hate a move to the new Western Sydney Stadium, even though they would be pushing people to travel by public transport to this ground, it will not always be possible for people to do so or would be a pain in the ass with the new timetable structure (3 trains for those coming from Campbelltown) and there seems to be little parking at the ground or nearby meaning that those having to drive would be stuffed. Add to that the fact that it will be Parramatta’s home ground meaning that again we would be based at at ground that we do not have any say in, playing in a location that is the heart or opposition territory.

As some of you know I have in the past made some concepts for the Tigers jerseys, be they fantasy or guesses of new designs.

Well I thought I would give it another go, this time using the current Members jersey design as the basis as earlier this year I thought that the club may be using that design as a soft launch for potential designs in the future (as it has been worn this season more often than I thought it would have been, even only 7 rounds in).

So here are my concepts for a 2019 jersey set:

Love the orange and white one. The black doesnt grab me as much for some reason.

Craegus, your designs and skills are simply awesome.

Would you consider if other sent you primitive type sketches, would you do them up properly? Ive got some ideas I’d like to try, but dont have your skills or anywhere near it.

I can have a look at them. No guarantees on if or when I will get them done.

Are you in the business creaGus?
You seem very clued up
2010 was my favourite designs, loved em… Your jerseys here are great… Old skool!

Nope, not in the business. To what may surprise, I actually do not have the design abilities to even get close to breaking in to it (need Adobe Illustrator, and I have no idea o how to do very much in it), but also do not really want to either as I much prefer to have it as a hobby rather than a job (even though I did have an interview once with a company).

Should do an updated version of the 2010 jerseys. They were the best.

The 2010 jerseys are probably my least favourite jerseys. They are just too plain and boring. Having a design that is primarily based under the arms is a waste as the majority of the time the design is missed and leaves people seeing just a plain one colour design.

However in the current way that the majority of jerseys are constructed, the 2010 would nearly be impossible to remake. The use of side panels by the majority of manufacturers that do not have any designs on them (manufacturers claim it is too hard to match up the three panels if there is a continuous design) would mean that the side stripes would be tiny and barely noticeable meaning we would be wearing basically a plain black or orange jersey.

I would love to see an orange dominant jersey, which we haven’t seen in a while.

I’d Prefer the Gold as our home jersey , white as our away , black as our alternative

I’m not big on black jerseys bud , we’ve lost two games with controversial calls with the black jerseys and the NFL has done studies on black jerseys and how they are more negatively penalised than sides in lighter colours

Have them in black pants

I put the orange as the alternate as the last main orange design (with the V’s, not the weird one with the white top with diagonal black bit) apparently did not sell well and was dropped because of that, so felt that it could be the same again (wasn’t going to make an orange one, but I know people would ask for it).
