Tigers actively looking for a top line centre as a point of need now (that’s from with-in the organisation) Content with forward pack.

Don’t believe you. Most of your other supposed inside info hasn’t eventuated.

Momo was a revelation at centre last year, and if you can believe Benji, Talau is the most exciting player at the club. Mbye is also strong at centre, so why do we need a centre as a priority?

Again have it all in written form. Can post pics if mods allow it

I can’t believe you’re still here.

Should we go through it?

  1. LM will be at Tigers training come 6th Jan (think you claimed JAC too)
  2. LM will not be at Souths
  3. Souths can’t fit LM in without offloading one/both of Gagai and AJ

Just the recent ones I remember.

Can’t believe anyone takes anything he says seriously. I don’t think he’s been right once.

Off field stuff aside, he is the best fullback around, he would even be better the Latrell.

Given we have packer, musgrove and Reynolds maybe we don’t care as much about off field any more… @willow

You’re kidding yourself.

We will have to agree to disagree willow.

I’m clearly of the opinion he would make a difference on field, he would need to keep his mouth shut and not flame social media with his polarising views. I’m not a fan of his views but he is a great player. He’d be better at fullback than Latrell.

And if the nrl allowed the type of signing we need and could get. Unlike latrell and Munster

He is a great player but an absolute grub of a human

Leaving all the off field stuff to the side, he’s the wrong side of 30 (he’s 31 in April,) and has been wasting away in the back line in Rugby. I don’t think he’ll be the revelation everyone thinks if he comes back. I reckon it’d be another Jarryd Hayne situation. Struggling club paying big money to a player on the downhill slope expecting miracles.

I would not touch him on that alone.

And can someone tell me, WITH AUTHORITY, that they are balancing the books if they keep all these backs while adding Latrell to the roster?

I’d wager that the Sam Burgess money would be going to him this year. Not sure how they’ll do it next year when Arrow arrives. Maybe there’s money left over from Burgess and they’ll front load a bit of next year? Maybe they plan to have moved on Gagai, AJ or one of their other backs at that point?

I’d reckon they would have the money for him this year since it looks apparent that Arrow will not come, and they are kicking the can down the road in the hope of clearing the books for next year.

As mentioned in the LM presser - Arrow coming in 2020 or not is irrelevant to LM signing on. They’re still chasing Arrow for 2020.

Brown paper bags.

Richardson confirmed that. Can afford both this year without offloading anyone.

Ah fair enough, I haven’t been up to date with the reporting on it. Sounds a bit suss now.

Sad for him, but at least he has other opportunities to pursue in life. Might be the end of RL for him, but it’s not the end in totality.

Good to see so many people backing the butchers who have been funding ANY terrorist group that targets the west over our biggest ally.
Way to go… suppose we won’t be counting on you if they ever choose to attack us - just blame the Yanks.

Don’t question the victim mentality. The only reason they resorted to, and continue to sponsor terrorism, is the colonial oppression they have suffered at the hands of the West. **It is a common trait of recently independent countries like India and others.
**
To hold this belief, you need to put the blinkers on and ignore acts against neighbours that follow a different sect within a particular religion.

This.

Case in point East India Co.

I am reading a book at the moment about India and the East India company by Shashi Tharoor it is called Inglorious Empire and it is a compelling read about how India became a british colony by blatant robbery and underhand tactics.
It is a real eye opener to see how disgusting the tactics were in creating the british empire

Makes what Mahatma Gandhi was able to achieve even more amazing

He fought everyone , dealt with the class issues both within the British and Indians and the religious difference within India

My favourite book which deals with political persecution is the James A Michener Bridge at Andau which talks about the story of the Hungarians turning away from Communism and then fighting against Communism in 1956

Give me a drop of Hungarian blood any day thanks

Americans look pretty bad in this situation as well

Yeah don’t mess with the Hungarians!

Too think they took out around 500 Russian Tanks with their bare hands and ingenuity is just thought provoking

And people forget they were one of the top sides in world soccer and water polo and lost a whole generation of sportsmen

We got a brilliant football commentator out of them.

They sound like the Fins. I remember reading about the Finnish sniper who killed some 500 Red army soldiers. Shot in the face and survived.

This is a massive loss for us and I believe will have a roll on affect re recruitment… People can put any spin on it they like but this is highly embarrassing for WTs

Yep. We should have had him in the bag purely on the weight of our offer.

No matter what people thought of him as a person he would have made us a better side.

He’s entitled to do as he pleases and the sun won’t set but it is a seriously ordinary outcome for WT.

I would not take Gagai on to play in the centres.

I would rather have Johnson.

If we get Stefano for 2020, I’ll be actually quite excited about our squad.

I don’t buy the doom and gloom about us being weaker than last year.

Stefano, Musgrove, Big Lucy, and potentially a back in form Packer = stronger forward pack than last year.

Masters is no loss. His kicking single-footedly (sorry) kept us out of the 8. Momirovski and Talau can be our centres for years to come.

If Mbye finds his 2018 form we’ll be very glad he’s here.

Brad Abbey might be a smokey too.

In 2020 we will smash expectations. Get excited!

If Packer pulls his finger out and we get Stefano for next year and he lives up to expectations I think the forward pack will be OK. The two things I am concerned about is lack of a specialist fullback and hooker. Our depth in the three quarter line is a little thin as well but that could change if JAC comes home, would probably still need another centre as well.

Souths signing Laterell will just cost them Doueihi In the long run…

No player that rates themselves as a future representative player is going to be content with riding the bench for more than a half a season. Particularly when they were the starting fullback the season before.

May as well get in his ear and tell him to play the Matto card.
