My point is, if you miss out on a Ferrari at auction you don’t go and buy a Kia the next day. You’re either in the market for premium players, or for solid first graders, Ivan paid premium money for solid first graders. The fact we don’t want to do that anymore is probably a big reason why we seem to be “missing out” and we should be happy with that.

Yep. Spot on.

If you want to lose weight and be healthy eat a whole food plant based diet. I don’t do this to anywhere near the level I should but there is a tonne of evidence a diet predominantly based on unprocessed plant foods is the healthiest diet for humans.

You will lose weight and put the odds in your favor in relation to not developing a huge number of illnesses such as cancer and all sorts of cardiovascular diseases.

You don’t have to be vegan but meat should be eaten sparingly.

Whatever you do stay away from any high meat/low carb diet. It’s really bad for you.

Unbelievable …more players that don’t want to come here

I wonder why ??

Sick of you moaning…Nellie…

The negativity is so over the top with some posters isn’t it. Yes we are the worst club of all time and no one likes us.

I would just like to know how true this latest rumour is. After all rumours are just rumours.

If we’ve learnt anything it is never to trust social media rumours. There is nothing done until it’s official.

So yes it is clear he doesn’t want to be at the Roosters playing in the centres on 800k or he wouldn’t be looking elsewhere.

That is correct.

Souths definitely out …from a very reliable source reportedly. The options are thinning like my hair.

And yet he still hasn’t signed the best offer by far, the biggest contract the Tigers have ever offered in our history.
An offer to play his prefered position.

Does this tell us anything??? Hmmmmm

I could be wrong but I think you are stating it’s the club that has problems but maybe it’s Latrell. Can you explain why he didn’t sign with the Rorters. Are they also an undesirable club ? Why hasn’t he signed elsewhere ?

Does that tell you anything ?

What makes you think I’m saying the club has problems?

How could I possibly know why he didn’t sign with the Roosters? Or us? Or elsewhere?
I’m not him.

But it’s obvious he doesn’t want to play for us, why?
I have no idea, and I’m not going to pretend I know.
These are questions for Latrell.

Do you know? Please tell me

I think you are missing the point. I don’t think that this has anything to do with our club. I think this is about Latrell having no idea what he wants to do. He can’t commit himself anywhere because he isn’t ready. That is the reason he hasn’t signed at the Roosters. You may as well state that he clearly doesn’t want to be at the Roosters.

I think it’s obvious he doesn’t want to worry about contracts at this point. That could change tomorrow but currently he can’t sign anywhere. The problem is at the same time his manager is out there trying to get a contract for his client.

I could see this changing next year or earlier and us signing him. I’m not stating that is going to happen. Maybe Latrell needs a year or two to figure himself out. The club has to move on and that is cool. If Latrell is ready to talk at a later point in time and we have the money then we might talk.

Why did the Roosters pull their offer? But the problem’s us of course.

Exactly. I get that we aren’t a high performing club right now but we seem to be doing a lot of things right. Players will come if we offer the right money assuming they are interested in actually playing rugby league in the NRL.

I think the issue is becoming more and more about us picking the right player.

Moylan on less than an average NRL contract might be a decent deal. Surely we wouldn’t pay him what he wants to come here.

What has me a little dumbfounded is how people are saying LM’s manager is the cause of all the issues and dealing with Latrell directly was positive. He could be giving some very poor guidance and advice, but at the end of the day Mitchell makes the call. He meets a few clubs, looks over the deals and tells his manager, “this is where I want to play.” This debacle can’t entirely be his managers fault!

Wherever he goes, he’ll get a decent offer. By all reports the Tigers threw the best deal at him.

He had the money, a long-term contract and was all but guaranteed the position he wanted to play, yet he didn’t take it. He literally is either the most poorly guided, confused and indecisive young man I’ve ever heard or his ego, money or demanding ridiculous terms in his contract has got the best of him.

To me, it’s glaringly obvious he just doesn’t want to play for the Tigers for whatever reason. The only alternative I can think of is his manager has royally screwed him in negotiating a deal with us…but again, Latrell has had the power to say, “let’s not drag this out, this is who I want to play for and let’s get it done” the entire time.

If he doesn’t want to be here or wants to play silly buggers, game over. I’m glad the club pulled the offer. We gave him an amazing opportunity. You can have all the talent in the world but the team and passion in the jersey come first.

When players pay good money to managers to help secure deals part of that management should be to ensure that the players reputation remains intact - managers acting with integrity. This by all accounts has not been the case with LM management and it seems to be
a problem across the board. His manager knows where Latrell’s head is at - they could have informed us weeks ago that he doesn’t want to play for us if that is the case, but they didnt. That’s the managers role to liase on behalf of the player the problem is in securing the best deal they string clubs along - and we are continually seeing young players manipulated by a system that has no integrity. There is no coincidence that some of the older wiser players handle their own contract negotiations.

I think his manager is probably struggling as well. He wants to be paid but isn’t really that interested in footy at all at the moment.
