Hi Guys -
I couldn’t make the trial today due to cricket commitments. However Joel was there and filed this match report as well as some photos in the link below. Thanks Joel! We will do out next podcast Monday or Tuesday let us know if you have any questions.
Did Podcast 8 on Monday with Joel with the below link. Were going to go to Belmore on Saturday Night so hopefully some Footy to talk about finally.
In this podcast we discuss the appointment of Moses Mbye as the club’s stand alone captain and whether this is a surprise, as well as whether the appointment of Moses is a positive or negative.
We also talk about the rest of the leadership and how Wests Tigers Head Coach Michael Maguire might have come to this decision.
Also on this week’s podcast a discussion about club culture, whether missing out on Laurie Daley as a coaching consultant was a good or bad thing, and a look ahead to a potential trial team to play the Warriors.
In Part Two we discuss some questions and topics from the new look Wests Tigers Forum, including some of the best and worst NRL rule changes over the past decade.
Plus we touch on the Wests Tigers having the oldest roster in the NRL heading into 2019 and ask, is this a positive or negative?
Finally a look at some of the best and worst halves pairings heading into 2019 as well as a blast from the past as we look back at the careers of two former Wests Tigers players in Luke Covell and Luke O’Donnell.
Like people said a bit left field but i like the move.
Benji and Lawrence are not certain starters. Maybe same for ET. Packer spends 40 minutes off the field. Josh just needs to get on the park.
MBye is a certain starter, and a emerging leader, so why not bite the bullet?
Good luck Moses and well done !
I have not even worked out how to quote people property let on this new lay out so thats no surprise.
I guess my question is given some people defending the NRL in relation to the Pascoe situation must have a few doubts now given how they have handled this situation and the clear hypocrisy involved affecting the WT ?
Is it a reaction to the WT challenging their ruling ? Or are we being too one eyed? Im not into conspiracy theories however this for mine is just another poor look for the NRL and its fledgling leadership.
Yet he is sweet to be a kangaroos selector and Indigenous all Stars coach ?
Tell me what I’m missing Gallagher ?!
Hi all, We recorder Podcast 7 last Night.
Still plenty of things to talk bout including in Part 1 Club’s appeal against the NRL’s sanctions, including the future of CEO Justin Pascoe, Esan Marsters being named in the Maori All Stars team, Benji Marshall suffering a hamstring injury and the battle between Robbie Farah and Jacob Liddle for the Number 9 jersey,.
In Part Two we discuss some questions and topics from this forum, including will Madge have a favourite or pet player?Plus a variety of responses to the home grounds’ debate. Also look into the overall membership numbers of each NRL Clubs – the over achievers, under achievers, and whether these numbers are legitimate?
Finally we name our Top 5 and Worst 5 current NRL coaches, and how new coach Michael Maguire fits into that mix.
Hope you enjoy and give us any positive or negative feedback !
