Huge honour for Manaia to have a haka performed for him.

Solid debut too. some good runs, tackled his heart out for a little guy and almost topped it off with a try.

Something bright on an otherwise pretty dull night. On ya Manaia.

Aaron Woods has been named captain of Wests Tigers for the Club’s Round 13 match against the Gold Coast Titans on Friday, June 5 at Leichhardt Oval.

The Leichhardt junior co-captained Wests Tigers along with Chris Lawrence previously against the Sydney Roosters in Round 9, 2014, but is set to be named sole captain for the first time in his career in the absence of Robbie Farah for Friday night’s match at Leichhardt Oval.

Stay tuned for the full Round 13 team announcement on weststigers.com.au at 5:01pm.

Get behind Aaron and the boys this Friday when they take on the Titans! Bring a mate, and get two General Admission tickets for just $40

Personally… I think he is still too young and lacks the maturity to be a captain yet. He’s obviously our future captain and maybe even NSW future captain. But when it comes to decision making I think we’re better to let Woods be Woods at the moment instead of having to think like a captain.

@Cultured Bogan:

To go 1-0 down against the team that finished fifth in the PL isn’t a bad effort. Everyone carries on about how crap the A-League is, and while I doubt Tottenham played in top gear, it was still a good result.

If we keep Chelsea to a 1-0 win, I will be stoked.

If you keep Chelsea to 1-0 it would be a fantastic result CB

Chelsea coach has come out and said they’ll be playing a full strength team too.

Although they’ve left a couple of players behind, will still be a great full strength team they put together.

Goodluck Manaia! Well earnt.

If our big boys can protect him a bit in the middle on defence he should go alright. Hopefully JT let’s him run a bit
