The kennel must be pumping atm if a Dogs supporter is sniffing around here for laughs. A Dogs supporter giving us grief about our signings…that’ll do me.
Door has closed on Nofo to Souths as they’ve announced Sauce on a 2yr deal. Paves the way for Nofo to take the deal on offer at Tigers.

Ch7 reporting Souffs have made an offer to Nofo Sunrise this morning
We missed JAC a state and international rep player and in the past we have lost teddy
We will survive if we lose David to souths
Do not pay oversBe interesting to know what they are offering not sure what Nofo’s on here but you would think Souffs offer would have to be at least $350k and also how Alex Johnson would be feeling taking a cut to sign with Souffs and also was the leading try scorer in 2020 and has regularly been up there with the top try scorers each year
Agreed.
I’d find really hard to believe Souths would offer Nofo more than 350k. I believe AJ re-signed for about 300-350k and he can at least cover FB. Mansour would be about the same money as well after Riff throw in a bit. Souths don’t seems to me to be a team to pay overs for backs so unless Nofo is willing to take a lot less than the Tigers offer I don’t see it happening.

Just saw the same headline flash across the screen. I’ll blow up if heads there, I have too many mates who are Souths supporters so I’ll never hear the end of it if he does.

I think the time is right for Madden to step up if either AD or Brooks in particular go down injured or have form issues.
My only concern is his defence, but he looks to have bulked up a bit so that will help.
Mates of mine who are massive Knights fans often say we bagged a good one with him. Apparently Andrew Johns was filthy with Newy for letting him go and has massive wraps on him.

Title says 'tigers tempting publish relatives disaster"
Anyone gut a subscription?
It is “tigers tempting publish relations disaster”, its from Crawley, wouldn’t expect anything else.
I will say though , I was quick to bag him , considering I assumed the article was about us not signing Nofa yet , but he does have a point regarding Benji and Widdop . IF and that’s a big IF , we did nab Widdop , a lot of supporters , who lets say , arnt as tuned in as the people on here , will go bananas . Look I’d be ok with benji running around in CC cup , and acting as a halves coach to first grade , and a poo hits the fan , replacement .
In fact I think he would excel in that position . What I’m not ok with , is inevitably him signing , and the crawleys of the world writing articles saying how badly we are mistreating a club legend by banishing him to CC cup . Which is why I’d be ok with Widdop . Because we have no loyalty or history to him , and AD will be the first choice 6 , and if he plays well, the long term 6 .
Widdop also has the ability to play FB, a goal kicker and 4yrs younger than Benji as well. Not arguing a case either way but seems he has enough to offer.

My Signing Hopefuls:
The Cheese, 3 year deal for 600k a year. But I doubt Storm would release with out a player swap. Put the Dogs front runners who might swap Napa
Widdop, I know his age and injuries. Can cover Fullback and 5/8. I would play him at Fullback, doesn’t really have to defend which is good for his shoulders. Great kicking game and can kick goals. Also if Douhei fails at 5/8(I hope he doesn’t) we have options. Mbye back to 1 and Widdop 6. Only offer a 1 year deal for 300k
Scott Sorensen, depth back rower who could nearly get a starting position depending on how Garner goes. 2 year deal for 200k
You think the Storm would want Napa? lol They want a quality replacement. Same thing rules us out, we don’t have anyone they’d want.
Heard on SEN that STORM want the big second rower back( can’t think of his name) that signed for the TITANS if the CHEESE is going to the TITANS
Why want him back? lol
Titans signed him heaps early in the season when he was barely rated. Melbourne probably gutted in the end losing him seeing him carve up towards the back end lol
He was highly rated early in the season and has been for some time, the Titans just threw money at him that the Storm couldn’t (or wouldn’t) match. Barely rated forwards don’t get contracts worth north of $600K per season.
Tino got a 750k a year contract after playing 5 or 6 games the year before. Titans took a punt and looks like it’s paid off. Still think they’d be a bit worried he follows the trend of players that leave Melbourne and go on to be average.
Adam Blair rings a bell. Gun while at Melb, comes to Tigers and was terrible.
Sheens was as much at fault as Blair was,Tim tried to change the way Blair played and it wasnt using his strengths
Exactly, I have said it many times, Blair was good at Brisbane and the Warriors too. He wasn’t as bad here as a lot of people made out, but he was poorly used by Sheens, but he missed no games whilst here
Good at Warriors? He was absolute rubbish hence they convinced him to retire early. His stats were terrible for Warriors with most games in 2020 barely making over 50 run metres. I do agree he was decent a Broncos though and showed there were definitely flaws in how he was used at Tigers.
