Whats the go with that melonhead hannah hollis saying how is panthers trying to poach Ivan any different from us ending the contracts of potter/jason taylor?
Am i the only one who thinks its completely different situations?
The difference is their results were terrible, recruitment terrible, retention terrible, created rifts within the playing group and most importantly they were both paid out. 100% agree with you both cases very different to current situation.
I’m sorry but if all the talk coming out of media circles is true and he wants out, I’d let him go however the Tigers would need be very well compensated for him to do so. Our current players aren’t going to want to play for a coach who supposedly want’s to jump ship.
I honestly don’t see the fascination in him having to or wanting to coach his son so badly. Growing up my father was my sporting coach for many years and it put a strain on our relationship.
Just remember that for once tigers have ALL the leverage. Only incompetence from Pascoe and go could see tigers lose out here. So relax. Anyone who is offered a job would look at it. Doesn’t mean they take it. Ivan is a good man who is highly respected. And he likes that people think that of him.
SG, right or wrong I’m just disappointed at the speed with which members of this forum turned on the WT coach, all of which was based on assumption and fed by rumour. Sad really
Maybe if Ivan wasn’t sitting quiet and came out openly denied he has plans to leave then the fans wouldn’t be so willing to crucify him.
Had a quick read on The Kennel and they’ve well and truly turned on Mbye. Doesn’t seem to matter to them that he’s only leaving because he’s being pushed to relieve cap pressure. They all seem quite happy for him to leave asap as they just want him gone.
The same fans have also offered up Woods as their sacrificial lamb to the Sharks to relieve more cap space.
They basically see both in the same light we saw Woods, Moses and Teddy when we knew they were leaving.
